Sometimes older master videotapes have this pre-echoing issue. I've noticed it on a number of older videotaped shows. Especially daytime ones. It can be evident on old audio tapes too. It's called a "print-through." When magnetic tape is stored on a storage reel, it causes a slight transfer to the tape layers above and below it. It can be more audible now because we have higher-fidelity broadcasting equipment to run them with.

Next Saturday's edition of "Password Plus" should be the first of five editions to be broadcast over the next three weekends to feature James Narz's (Tom Kennedy) brother Jack Narz.

Gene Wood on the edition of "Super Password" broadcast between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. (Central times) today did not say the passwords (even though I enjoyed hearing him say the passwords, I also enjoyed playing along with the puzzle rounds in the editions without him saying the passwords).

I liked the timing of the edition of "Super Password" broadcast between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. (Central times) today since the answer to one of its puzzles was "Boston Red Sox", the name of one of the baseball teams set to appear in this calendar year's World Series.

That's Sox. Not a biggy. Just a little itch from a Red Sox fan.

Password Plus has started the Gene Rayburn week last Sunday (the second last celebrity combination to appear during the run), so it looks like we may get to see the Blondie episode (with Tom Kennedy singing and dancing towards the end of the segment) within the next two weekends (barring any RIAA issues or music clearance issues, which I don't see happening, since GSN aired that episode twice before).
Also, worthy of noting, if memory serves correctly, there are only five weekends (ten episodes) remaining for the current lease of Password Plus, since the series finale will likely air before December. I bet, by December, we will be reverting back to the Pat Sajak/Betty White week of the series (December 1981). It's hard to believe we are so close to the series finale already.
Also, I do have one question: Bob Hilton was announcing on Password Plus during the second last week of the run, if I remember hearing correctly last Sunday. Did Bob Hilton also announce on the final six episodes of the run (with Audrey Landers and Tom Poston)?

Well, it turns out that the Blondie episode of Password Plus did air this morning. No music clearance issues were prevalent, still. I really am glad I recorded it, though I did request for someone to upload it at some point.

The Game Show Network mistakenly interrupted the final segment of today's edition of "Password Plus" with advertisements for their other programming while James Narz (Tom Kennedy) was still interacting with Edie McClurg, one of the "guest stars" for this edition (the other was Gene Rayburn). Afterwards they started showing "Password Plus" full screen again seconds after James Narz waved good bye to the studio audience and showed the cards with consolation prizes for contestants before transitioning seamlessly to "Whammy! The All New Press Your Luck".

Well, it looks like I will be recording Password Plus only two more times (I already recorded the finale back in 2009). I have all the episodes from the Audrey Landers/Tom Poston run so far, and I intend to complete that final week of recordings over the weekend.

Watched today's eppy, which was the second to last. Tom imitating Bowzer was hilarious.
