Well, oddly enough, I got to see a full week of TPIR for the first time in nearly seven years (June 2013, to be exact), due to the aftermath of a massive blizzard that dumped over 75 centimeters of snow on my hometown and resulted in a state of emergency that shut down my office for six days (thank goodness it's being lifted tomorrow morning).
I noticed something on today's TPIR during the third item up for bids. There was an upright piano being offered. I do have two questions regarding that prize:
1. When was the last time an upright piano was offered on TPIR? 2. With a value of over $6,000, was this the most expensive non-car prize ever offered on contestants' row?
I also noticed a trend with regards to theme weeks. They always seem to have the most expensive showcase of a theme week as the final showcase on such week's Friday episode, and maybe it's likely designed to close out the theme week with a bang.

That is incredibly amazing that Gray has survived 3 massive heart attacks. Dick Clark in 2012 had one massive heart attack and sadly it was fatal. Gray was definitely blessed. I wish him well.

I'm not talking about the games that were played for a car like either the Money Game, Any Number or 3 Strikes but the games that generally were played for four-digit prizes back during the four-digit car days. I do recall Squeeze Play being played for a car several times.

Here's The 70s Nighttime Lineups. tpirstats.com/Calendars/70s_Nighttime_Games.htmlRed indicates a non-car game played for a car or a car game played for a boat. Blue indicates a three- or four-prize game played for trips. Green indicates a multi-prize game played for cars or a one-prize or one-car game played for two cars. Yellow indicates a game played for a vintage car reproduction. Orange indicates a four-prize game played for LA pro sports season tickets or a game played for a restored car. Purple indicates "double Double Prices."

I do recall Squeeze Play being played for a car several times. Squeeze Play, Range Game, Double Prices, and Safe Crackers were played for cars from time to time, as were most of the small prize and grocery item games.

I'm not going to put this in spoiler tags, since this really didn't affect gameplay.
On the Mother's Day special on Friday, both Showcases offered trips for four people. (The locations don't matter.) For the experts on trips offered on the show: This obviously isn't as frequent as you'd think. When was the last time a trip for four was offered during a non-special?

Yesterday's TPIR episode was a rerun of the 5/10/2019 Mother's Day episode

Yesterday's TPIR episode was a rerun of the 5/10/2019 Mother's Day episode ... Still, a good question. Yes?

Tonight's the RuPaul special episode, but I'm not watching. Can't support a drag queen raising money for baby killers.

Let's not bash people based on who they do (or don't) support, okay?

I miss Million Dollar Spectaculars. The Price is Right at Night is nothing more than a slightly-juiced-up daytime episode.
