I must be the only person on this board (or in the game show community in general) that doesn't care for this show. I just could never get into it the several times I've watched it.
While my selfish side hopes it doesn't come to Buzzr, I do feel happy for my associates on this board that might get a chance to enjoy their show.

He's going to be quite thrilled. Also, I am another person who doesn't care for the show. I did watch one episode of the Canadian version around 1993, and I hated it.

I don't have Buzzr! Still, it's great to see this show getting some attention. I hope one day it will get its chance to shine on GSN or be revived altogether. I'd love to see this show in action again.

GSN did not have Supermarket Sweep before but I'd love to see it again. Australia and England, I believe, had their own versions of it.
I did care for this show and I probably would've loved to be on it.

Definitely hoping to see the Ruprecht episodes turn up on Buzzr, and am interested to see what happens with this show in the near future.

I'm not saying this as just a fan of the show, but as far as reruns go, Buzzr really needs all the fresh classic game show episodes they can get their hands on. Even if it's something that I'm not big on; anything to placate the constant barrage of Match Game and Family Feud episodes that air on a daily basis. Plus the majority of their other shows are still in reruns-of-reruns-of-reruns mode.
I just hope if it does come that any issues are thought of and handled correctly so we don't have another Wordplay fiasco. And unlike that show, Sweep has had rerun exposure before so there shouldn't be a real big issue with that.

I really hope this revival is successful and I hope they don't change too much about it. In my opinion, it should be left alone. I'd hate for one stupid change to ruin the experience and I hope that doesn't happen here.

I'd say based on the recent success of their new shows, we shouldn't have much to worry about. I don't like everything about their new versions, but the days of needless changes and legit bastardizations of formats like in CS '01 for example seem to be long gone. They're even about making most of these shows physically as nostalgic as possible while modernizing when necessary.
I'm just hoping Al Howard's son can work a deal with Fremantle/Buzzr so they can get the classic episodes of the show in reruns again.
I love all the mainstream attention this news is getting. That was a staple show for a lot of people growing up, myself included.

Two schools of thought here.
1) Why the hell is this on Buzzr? I have never had Buzzr in all the time I've had cable!
2) In addition to this series, they should try to acquire Supermarket Sweep the series from the 1990s and 2000s. There are over 1000 episodes! They could air a new episode twice a day and have enough episodes for over two years. The same thing is true with Pat Finn's "Shop Til You Drop".

Just a thought...
I am surprised they don't do this in the same location as Guy's Grocery Games...

According to Fremantle's press release about Buzzr shows being released on Amazon Video, episodes of Supermarket Sweep will be available in the near future. I'm guessing this means the show will air on Buzzr as well. Great news!
