Uh, it was a different Jason. The Jason Hernandez we know is a Los Angeles native. The Jason Hernandez who wrote a poem read on the 2/1/84 episode was from Arizona.

Yes, I did read it. I just didn't know what to respond with.

Yes, I did read it. I just didn't know what to respond with. Also, did you catch the Buzzr airing of the 2/10/84 episode? Man, that was a nice long cut of the ending theme during the credits.

I haven't been following Press Your Luck since GSN started replaying the summer 1984 episodes, but I'd like to ask, what episode are we at as of this morning? I would assume we're closer to the Lori/Cathy spin battle, or it airs today? I believe we're most likely into August 1984 by now.
I am planning on recording Press Your Luck later this month in case the remaining 1986 episodes see the light of day.

We're at Cathy/Craig/Pete. It aired on August 9, 1984; episodes #229-#234 were taped on July 1. Also, here's the production slate for the Cathy/Lori spin battle episode. I wish more of these would resurface. The only other one I've seen was for the Michael Larson episode.

On Friday's airing of PYL (281), I noticed that a graphic of a viewer-submitted poem was displayed before one of the commercial breaks instead of Peter reading it at the end of the show. Was this the first time they did that? Or were there other earlier occasions that were just cut off by GSN?

The cutting you see was often done by CBS during the original run. This is a new tape date.
For some reason, they retired the displayed poems after they introduced Add-A-One in September 1985, only to bring them back again in June 1986.

So, do you know when they first started displaying the poems? Was #281 the first time?

dare2be what's the most recent episode of PYL Buzzr aired, not counting 6/8-11/84 and 7/4/85?

Not sure what you mean by most recent, but if you mean the latest '84 episode aired before 6/8/84, that would be #129, 3/19/84 Bo/Kim/Craig.

Cross-posting: PYL #290 (Halloween) was skipped by GSN yesterday.

Today's PYL episode on GSN is episode 296 Adele vs Bob vs Lee which is not been posted from previous GSN airings on Youtube or Dailymotion at this point. CHris Bryant did upload 294 and 295 in the last couple of days as aired on GSN on his Dailymotion, so he might put up 296 today.
