Nevermind, answered my own question.

Well, the problems plagued by episode #552 the last time it aired were repeated in today's airing as well. (The show skipped a segment and then replayed itself again after a commercial break.) I had hoped it was a glitch in the previous airing that would have been caught and corrected this time around. Either it wasn't noticed, or it was purposefully done this way due to a section of the episode being damaged. Either way, still no full copy of #552 to be had.

Last week, GSN again aired the last episode of Match Game 75, featuring the rollover of the Match Game 75 sign to Match Game 76. The difference this time, is GSN in a rare moment did NOT credit crunch the ending, leaving it fully intact. That was a treat.

Anitra Ford reportedly did not clear her Match Game appearances. Valerie Bertinelli didn't clear hers, either. Surprisingly, though, she did clear her putrid performance week on The $20,000 Pyramid.

As mentioned, she cleared her Pyramid shows and she was on Hollywood Game Night a couple weeks ago for the second time, so if that says anything, she's still willing to participate on game shows and doesn't seem to really have anything against the genre. I wonder what it is about that show in particular that she doesn't want us to see. It can't be much worse than Pyramid considering Match Game relies more on comedy and being relaxed.

It could be less "she didn't want us to see her performance" and more she just didn't care enough to respond and clear the shows, especially if that clearance permission correspondence was sent at a different time period than her other shows that have aired on the network.

Hello,
I am from the old gsn message board and was told about this place. I have a question about the Match Game lease GSN is showing. I stopped watching for awhile last fall and they are now showing the eps I stopped watching at. What episode # does this lease go to?

Welcome aboard, Paul. I remember you from a message board devoted to a certain radio show.
As for your question, I am guessing the current lease goes to somewhere in 1977, not sure how far into 1977, but I am guessing not that far. As I posted many months back, they go as far as Ep. 0920-TM in this latest lease. Given GSN's direction as of lately, plus Match Game's ratings not being the best last I heard, it makes me wonder if GSN will cease airing Match Game after the current lease expires? As for the current lease, I am guessing GSN may have leased 300 or 350 episodes from 1975-77, someone please clarify?

Match Game is one of the few old game shows that would actually cause a legitimate enough of an uproar if they were to remove it. I don't see it leaving the schedule anytime soon. Before people mention Richard Dawson's Feud, the reality is that Dawson's Feud has nowhere near the pop culture resonance that Match Game has.

Nothing performs well in the 8:00AM time slot. Match Game has had better numbers than any other show in that slot in recent memory.

Head's up. Syndicated Match Game from 1979 begins September 29th. Match Game 77 and Richard Dawson disappear.

I have some missed episodes (905, 906, 910 I think) that I was hoping to catch this time around. No dice. Anyone have those recorded?

Match Game gets good enough numbers for an 8am time slot. Talk about an uproar, I wouldn't be too happy if GSN removed this funny show. It's one of the best game shows of all time.
I've been recording it for quite awhile now, seen every episode in this lease, twice. I admit, getting a little bit tired of the same episodes. I hope GSN leases some fresh episodes in the not too distant future. Other than that, I'm not complaining at all.

This is the first time for non-contract reasons that CBS Match Game has not been on the GSN schedule since the network's inception. It's interesting that they'd go with syndicated Match Game since it has less banter and no Richard Dawson, but the game does move a lot quicker and there's more time for commercials, so I guess that's what they were going for.
