^ She was on P+ during the week with Dick Martin and Lucille Ball.

It's possible that she didn't want people to know on a game show that she wants to be an actress. Maybe she knew she would be on a "big" TV show. Wouldn't surprise me if a casting coordinator wanted her to mention just interior design, there have been times where a coordinator or someone of that nature will tell a contestant which thing to specifically mention. Maybe they figured Gene+crew would give her grief over mentioning she wanted to be an actress, I dunno. Also there was quite a lot of editorial in that post considering it was meant to be speculative.

I don't think "snobbish" is the accurate description of her behavior on the show...I felt more that she had the personality of a turnip.

I never cared much for her anyway. I thought she was cute on MG, and Password Plus what I saw on Casey's blog of her picture on P+. She did have a bit of a personality on the second to last episode if MG she was on. Unless she faked that, it looked real though. But, actors/actresses are good at their job. Cuckoo Fran and Ollie aired this morning. That would be Kukla, Fran, and Ollie. I remember watching them on CBS Saturday Mornings when they hosted the CBS Saturday Morning Film Festival

Exactly I knew what it actually was. But my that contestant was dumb. Oh... After watching that episode several times, I now understand the accordion part.

I would never call any player of "Match Game" with a bad or illogical answer "dumb" or any synonym for it. I'm sure the player who said "Fran and Ollie" felt very embarrassed for doing so.

I wouldn't mind seeing those episodes (the 79 ones. I've seen that PM one so many times it's ridiculous)
I gotta say, I'm enjoying these early SYN episodes. They're still funny (not as much as the 74-77 episodes), and enjoyable.

Of course it was meant to be speculative. I don't know the facts. I wasn't in the crew on the show telling that poor woman what to say. (wink)

Bringing this thread "back to life"...
I haven't seen these SYN episodes of Match Game since they last aired on GSN, which was sometime in 2009 or early 2010, probably. It sure looks different since last I saw them for some reason, maybe because those were later episodes I saw maybe. I don't know, just seems different, since it is a bit early in the run of the SYN version.
What I really wanted to say was I think the questions on this version kind of suck compared to the ones from 1973-1978, or even Match Game PM, which was on weekly from 1975-1981. The questions on SYN Match Game aren't as bad as, say, the 90's versions.
I mean, though, on the Super Match on the SYN version, some of them are hard. I often notice that one round is easy, and the second round is hard, as far as Super Match/Head-to-Head Match goes.
Another thing I want to point out is the Tie Breaker. Sometimes they say they don't have enough time and they can't do their "regular" tiebreaker so they do "Sudden Death". I think it's a bunch of crap that the show claims they don't have enough time for their regular tiebreaker. Why? Because, if they can do their regular tiebreaker sometimes, then why can't they do it all the time? I know shows allot so much time, but something is messed up about not having enough time for the regular tiebreaker.
