But like I said, I don't know exactly how many Syndicated episodes they taped each calendar year from '77 to '85 (976 in total were taped).

In 1979, they expanded the show to 2 nights a week, and by September 1980, it was 5 nights a week. It ran all the way to 1985. After the show ended, it was called "The Best of Family Feud" with 260 episodes from the show's run.

I think what I meant to say was which episodes during each season spooled over to the following year during taping? Sorry for not being clear. This post seems to shed some light. Copy and paste this link in the address bar. The post also says Season 5 was skipped entirely. I thought so, too, but it turns out #6XXX IS Season 5. www.gameshowforum.org/index.php/topic,25272.msg316076.html#msg316076 1977: All 39 episodes of Season 1 taped in the same year. 1978: First 24 or 25 episodes of Season 2 taped. 1979: Remaining 35 or 34 episodes of Season 2 taped, and first 58 shows of Season 3 taped. 1980: Remaining 20 episodes of Season 3 taped; not sure how many Season 4 shows taped. 1981: Not sure how many Season 4 episodes taped; a little over 110 Season 5 shows taped. 1982: Remaining 50 or so episodes of Season 5 taped; not sure how many Season 6 shows taped. 1983: Not sure how many Season 6 episodes taped; over 55 Season 7 shows taped. 1984: Not sure how many Season 7 episodes taped; over 15 Season 8 shows taped. 1985: Over 65 Season 8 episodes taped.

The Game Show Channel, what special weeks did the ABC run do for 1982? I know they did a Love in the Afternoon week in February 1982 (Not sure of the episode codes), and a Saints Vs. Sinners week for November 8-12, 1982 (211-215).
Also, I have no idea if there was a special week for 181-185 (Aired on GSN January 19-23, 2009), 191-195 (Aired on GSN February 02-06, 2009), 201-205 (Aired on GSN February 16-20, 2009), 241-245 (Aired on GSN April 07-10; 13, 2009).

Did you know there was a Singers Vs. Composers Special? It was a Syndicated Week, and it aired during the 1984-1985 Season. Just when I thought I knew all the celebrity specials from 1978 to 1985, here comes another one. Sammy Davis Jr. previously cameoed on a 1977 ABC episode.

I don't think GSN ever aired the Composers v. Singers episodes, which probably means one or more of the celebrities didn't clear their appearances.

When Richard Dawson came back for the 1994-95 season, the celebrity specials looked like this, the first half featured two families from the 1976-85 era, while the second half featured celebrities playing for charity, such as Carol vs. Betty.
Here are a few examples from the first half that I could think of: Thobe (from 1977) vs. Cuoco (from 1982) Ellis (from 1982) vs. Driscoll (from 1981) Wassell (from 1978) vs. Williams (from 1979) Steinbach (from 1980) vs. Cusick (from 1979)

Right now, I'm skimming through the first four weeks of the show, which were posted by Kenneth (thewhammy83). Were 76-009, 76-013, 76-016, and 76-017 shown on GSN, ivoryface86 ? I know GSN first aired the 1976 episodes in 1996.

Yes, they have aired on GSN, they first aired between 1999 and 2000, and the last time they were aired was sometime between 2004 and 2005.
