Does anyone remember this five-episode game show on Fox? I like to think of it as Greed's "sister show" since they were both primetime game shows on Fox, Mark Thompson was the announcer, the composer was Edgar Struble, both shows were supposed Who Wants to be a Millionaire? clones (though IYCOAL was more of Millionaire-clone than Greed in my opinion), and the music had a tense, creepy feel to them. Also, there's a striking similarity to the wrong answer sound on IYCOAL and the "big lose" sound on Greed... the ominous noise that was sounded if the wrong answer was given during a Terminator match and if the last answer was revealed wrong on a four-answer question.
I don't love IYCOAL anywhere as much as I love Greed but they were certainly both great shows that were much worthy of longer runs than the runs they got. IYCOAL definitely should've lasted more than 5 episodes. Why was IYCOAL cancelled after five episodes? I love their choice in Gordon Elliott hosting. What i really like is how on the night of June 9, 2000, there was that night's episode of It's Your Chance of a Lifetime at 8pm and then that night's episode of Greed right after it at 9pm!
