In a way, it's good. the original phone lifeline could be a complete problem - from them not picking up, to them not being able to hear the question. But it could still come back to haunt them.
I'm in the middle about this one.

I'm just glad that they're taking out the one Jump the Question lifeline. Well, you can see my comments about it on Casey's blog. The game is kind of already slow anyway.

I think the only real problem as far as keeping Phone-A-Friend functioning based on Meredith's explanation of the show getting rid of it was people on the phone Googling the answers. This sounds like a way to get rid of that potential problem.
This reminds me of the 2000 version of Twenty-One's second chance lifeline, except here, there are no isolation booths and there's no time limit.

The original phone lifeline could be a complete problem - from them not picking up... They had more than one phone-a-friend submitted, and if there was a "no answer" situation, I'm reasonably sure they went to another on the list, and edited that unanswered moment out.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is bringing back the Phone-A-Friend lifeline for Terry Crews debut season? What a surprise because from what I read about why Who Wants To Be A Millionaire got rid of the Phone-A-Friend lifeline was because people wouldn't answer their phones and hang up on contestants when they tried to help contestants on questions. I hope that now that the Phone-A Friend lifeline returns this season Who Wants To Be A Millionaire adds rules to people who want to be used as the Phone-A-Friend help. What other changes will Who Wants To Be A Millionaire have for the Fall 2014 season besides Terry Crews replacing Cedric The Entertainer this time?, Kelsey

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is bringing back the Phone-A-Friend lifeline for Terry Crews debut season? No. They're not "bringing it back". Read the last few posts.

When will Terry Crews start hosting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire this fall? I know the season begins in September but when in September will Terry Crews make his Millionaire debut, Kelsey The season premiere, I'm sure. Cedric started on the season premiere last season. And this season is "totally different" because the show made plans to move to Connecticut. They wouldn't make a change in locations in the middle of a season, usually. Then the show would probably be on hiatus in that case. It's not like they tape next seasons episodes while the current season is still going not knowing what they're doing. In other words, it would just be weird. If you're asking when the exact season premiere date is, I'm not sure. I'm guessing maybe Labor Day. Sent from my GT-P5113 using proboards

When I see Who Wants To Be A Millionaire sometimes I've seen a part of the show that they do when there isn't time for another player and time's almost up. Cedric The Entertainer selects a player from the audience to answer the question that the previous player didn't get to answer and I want to know how much money the selected audience member wins because when I have seen Who Wants To Be A Millionaire the THOUSANDAIRE sign appears and it doesn't mention how much money is won. Is this a new thing added during Cedric's debut season? Because when I had watched Meredith's version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire the winning audience members used to win a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire video game, Why did Who Wants To Be A Millionaire do away with the video games and switch to a cash prize for winning audience members?, Kelsey

Since it's Thousandaire, I'm guessing the player wins $1,000

When I was watching Judge Judy a few minutes ago I got some very awesome Who Wants To Be A Millionaire news to share. My CBS station is now gonna start airing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire this fall directly after Let's Make A Deal. Until this news was announced Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was on my ABC station where it had been since Meredith Veira started hosting it. I couldn't get the date of the season premiere but Terry Crews appeared in the commercial announcing this news, Is Who Wants To Be A Millionaire changing stations on your TV schedules this fall, Kelsey

Is Who Wants To Be A Millionaire changing stations on your TV schedules this fall Depends on where you live. I have no idea. I don't watch the show, since it aired while I was in school. ... I'm going to assume it's remaining the same.

In my recent post about Who Wants To Be A Millionaire's new season I mentioned that my CBS station was gonna get Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. It appears that my CBS station is gonna show it after The Young And The Restless at noon and not directly after Let's Make A Deal. But still no mention when in September Who Wants To Be A Millionaire's new season will start. All the commercial says is the tagline "COMING THIS FALL", Kelsey

\All the commercial says is the tagline "COMING THIS FALL" There's a reason why "check your local listings" is usually said...
