When people audition to become Jeopardy contestants does Jeopardy require contestants to have college degrees or be college graduates in order to play Jeopardy? Because I've heard that this is a new rule that Jeopardy made to future contestants and any player that has no college degrees or graduated from college are not able to play. I have been trying to get my father to audition for a game show and I would like to know if this new Jeopardy contestant audition rule is true, Kelsey

She has a chance to tie 2nd Place Today And as we saw, she did it! Next, she can tie the best winning streak ever by a female contestant on any game show. Ruth Horowitz won twenty times on Concentration and the family pair of Liz & Pat McCarthy won twenty times on Blockbusters. The 19-day total for Julia is $410,000Our champion had a challenge during the first round on Wednesday and Thursday's shows, but pulled ahead to have a lock on her challengers by the end of Double Jeopardy! both days.

So people auditioning to be contestants on Jeopardy do not need a college degree to play Jeopardy after all. Thanks Don for your great reply and it sure helped me a lot. Because Mom wants to apply Dad one of these days to appear on Jeopardy in the near future and I had always wanted to know if this rumor was true and you were a great help in answering my question, Thank you Don for your nice reply and welcome to GSP, Kelsey

People are already starting to wonder about Pat Sajak, since A) syndie Wheel is one year older than Jeopardy!, and B) there's that whole daytime run of Wheel to consider as well.
To answer the second point first -- no, there isn't the daytime Wheel to consider. For the purposes of a record like this, the daytime and syndie series are considered two entirely different things, despite having the same title, production staff, format (more or less), and gameplay. So you can rule the NBC episodes out right away; they would be counted separately.
I am, however, a bit perplexed as to the first point myself. Even though Jeopardy!'s season is longer by a few weeks, and has been for several years at least, I wonder just how much of the difference that has made up.

You take a quiz online. There are 50 questions and you have to answer at least 35 correct in order to even be considered. Then you get called in and play a practice game so they can judge your personality. Remember: Jeopardy!, much like all TV shows are all about ratings, and if you look strange or act all weird on a serious show like J!, you're not going to get very far. You don't need a college degree but it certainly helps to have at least one because you're then more knowledgeable and have a thirst for wanting to learn things. In reality, most of the stuff on Jeopardy! is stuff you can learn with a little know-how in a variety of fields. You don't need to be a Master of any of them. This article has some less than conventional ways to actually beat popular game shows: www.cracked.com/article_19664_6-counterintuitive-tricks-to-beating-popular-game-shows.html

exactly! the best classic eps of Jeopardy(SYN) in my opinion were E1863, E1685, E1795, E2103, E1489, E2649, E2686 & E2985. most of them look amazing in perfect picture quality.

Well, I don't know if there is anything new to Jeopardy other than the fact that Alex has a mustache again. Anything else as far as the new season goes?
