Just saw that. Amy Davis better be ready for the inevitable backlash she'll receive for this. I'd be embarrassed working for her because she keeps giving the green light to nonsense like this. This will be one episode I won't be watching.

[post about the promo for the "all-naked players" episode] I know I'm responding to this way late, but why do I get the feeling the blurring and logo graphics weren't actually hiding anything (in other words, they look naked but are actually wearing stuff to hide what's supposedly being censored, so that even in the studio you couldn't see their naughty bits)? It's clearly a cheap ratings ploy, and if it's faked nudity then it shows they weren't actually willing to go all the way.

If you look at the promo right as it hits 8 seconds, you can see some sort of possible fabric. Don't know if that's just to hold the microphone, or if it was to hide her boobs - or both.

Remember that all-naked Idiotest from about a half year ago? Some other message board found one of the contestants' videos. Hugh would love this kind of thing... (Possible NSFW video here. If you don't feel comfortable with seeing it, don't click on the spoiler. Thanks.)

...The producers picked a Playboy model to be on the all-"naked" show.
Nope, not surprised in the least.

I know I'm also very late to this, I saw the episode when it aired, but this wouldn't be acceptable in 2007 exactly, but these TV networks are getting more "edgy", which seems to be a favorite word of these networks.
I'm no prude. I look at girls, clothed 99% of the time though. It's not one of my greatest past times. All of these networks follow a trend towards "edgier" programming for the most part.
By the way, anybody know how many episodes of Idiotest might be left this season?

It kind of looks like last night was the season finale for Idiotest. Not really a surprise, considering Summer is winding down I figured with all the episodes they've ran week after week for quite awhile it seems like, the season finale had to be coming soon. Again, assuming last nights episode was the season finale. GSN didn't really promote it as the season finale at all though I don't think.
I don't recall hearing if it's going to be renewed for another season, but I'd like to see it come back for another season of course.

They've done at least 200 episodes of Idiotest, as Ben announced a few weeks ago that it was the 200th taped episode of Idiotest. That's more than enough episodes to show reruns of the show for years to come, especially considering Whammy! did 130 episodes that have been in almost perpetual reruns for 14 years, and Dylan Lane CHain Reaction has 130 episodes in almost perpetual reruns for 10 years. Woolery Lingo was in reruns(all but the first 20 episodes from the Netherlands) on GSN for a good chunk of the last decade as well, whether his political views of recent have kept it off the schedule for the last year or two I don't know.

It's amazing Chain Reaction has lasted so long on GSN in reruns. When Lingo used to air on a regular basis it did pretty good until GSN decided to change everything around. Lingo was doing more than good which was why they revived it in 2011 but the revival flopped. And that's about the time The Newlywed Game and Baggage started to decline in ratings when new episodes aired when they screwed with the lineup when Love Triangle joined the lineup. TNG and Baggage were doing great until GSN decided to screw with that lineup, too.
I wasn't a fan of The Newlywed Game or Baggage but those shows were big hits for GSN. It was kind of a shame GSN decided to move Lingo away from its 3pm time slot when GSN revived Lingo. Lingo still lives on GSN.com though as an online game for Oodles and junk.
I didn't mean to get a bit too far off topic, but anyhoo...

I just looked at Idiotest's Wikipedia page and, according to it, it looks like GSN has cancelled Idiotest. Under "Original Release" it says August 12, 2014 – August 30, 2017 and I haven't heard anything about it coming back this Summer, so unfortunately it looks like Idiotest is done. I saw it coming though. I didn't think the show would come back, they cancelled The Chase. It's too bad, Idiotest was one of the very few good originals GSN has had, along with The Chase when that was on. Idiotest was a little raunchy at times, I thought, but not quite as raunchy as another show that GSN airs for 5 or 6 hours a day. Ben Gleib is kind of known for his "raunchy" stand up act, sort of. I watched his "Neurotic Gangster" stand up show, and it was, to use the word "raunchy" again. But it was funny, and I've kind of become a "fan" of his a little. The Chase still airs on GSN whereas Idiotest is nowhere to be seen I don't think. Idiotest had a good run, over 200 episodes.

Sometimes I think GSN doesn't screen these contestants before they pick them, especially for this show. Sure, maybe they don't want the intellects, but even the non-intellects they have chosen for this show shouldn't act as dumb as some of these contestants do. It may not be easy being in from of a live audience and all, but come on, act like you want to win. Think carefully and if you're really stumped just point on something. Don't let the thing call you an "IDIOT". Some people have been lucky. Watching the late night weekend reruns of this show brought me back to this post because I remembered it. Don't ask how, I just remembered it for some reason. I still can't get over how stupid a lot of these contestants were. A lot of these tests are easy, yet most contestants either pick a stupid answer or waste so much time that they run out of time and the touch monitor calls them an idiot. It's embarrassing. I don't know what else to say other than these contestants make me want to face-palm in disbelief at their stupidity.
