I'd rather have contestants who act like they want to be there instead of letting the screen call you an idiot. Besides Jeopardy and Wheel, are there any other game shows (that aren't on major networks) that actually cast based on skill/smarts? No, the reality shows on GSN don't count.

I'd rather be there and feel like I'm going to win rather than not feeling like I want to be there and have a screen call me an "idiot". It's a big chance to win money and the cameras are on, so contestants really shouldn't play dumb.

Well I don't mean people as smart as the contestants on Jeopardy or Wheel although Wheel doesn't require a handful of smarts either. I'm just talking about average people, like me who doesn't talk like some young person in lala land. No offense of course, I'm young myself and I'm not patting myself on the back. Maybe I'm not explaining it right.

Maybe I'm not explaining it right. I understand what you mean. I think I overthought it a bit. GSN is notorious at casting people who don't give a damn to be there.

I thought the contestants on Dylan Lane's version of Chain Reaction at least the contestants looked like they came to win. Same for Woolery Lingo, in the past GSN has cast contestants who looked like they wanted to win, average joe's like you and me. I don't know what it is now though with casting people who look like "eh, I got on TV, that's all I came here to do".

Same for Woolery Lingo... I swear I saw someone on that show who was an actress in one episode. I mentioned it elsewhere. Believe she was from Who Wants to Be a Superhero's first season. (I can't believe I remember that.)

^I don't even remember that show. I need to find clips to familiarize myself with it, because it's so long since I watched it. I can remember some of the names of the people involved and some of the tasks they did. It's funny how much my brain retains.

The contestants on this new version for the most part bet like there's no tomorrow. On Dylan Lane's version when needed they were more conservative when betting. Sometimes they bet 500 when they needed to come back in the game. How many times do I see contestants with the lead betting 200? Do they forget that 100 is an option?
This version seems more fast pace than Dylan Lane's version. I don't know what it is, it just seems pretty fast pace. They don't have speed chains so, I don't know if that would be a reason, but during the gameplay it seems fast paced at times.

Is Daisy Sour Cream a sponsor of this new Chain Reaction on GSN? Because when I was watching The Chase GSN advertised the new Chain Reaction episodes with a mini Chain Reaction puzzle and when it ended I was surprised to see a Daisy Sour Cream commercial. Is Daisy Sour Cream gonna have a special promotion or sweepstakes to promote Chain Reaction? Kelsey

Watching reruns of the Dylan Lane version reminds me why I dislike Dylan Lane. He looks and sounds so cocky and it annoys me to no end whenever he reminds players they have 5 seconds to answer. Yeah, no duh, I'm sure they know that. It's even worse when he says this at the end of the game. Maybe they simply don't know the answer and don't want to spout out a dumb one? Seriously, this is one of the worst game show hosts ever.

I try to think of Lane as a piece of furniture- just ignore him and he blends into the background.
