I did learn on Casey Abell's blog that Steampunk'd may have done very well in the ratings. Perhaps not to the extent of Skin Wars, but pretty awesome. I wonder if Steampunk'd did really well on its first airing because of the lead-in from Skin Wars? Of course, the ratings for the second episode of Steampunk'd will likely speak volumes.

I wonder if Steampunk'd did really well on its first airing because of the lead-in from Skin Wars? Of course, the ratings for the second episode of Steampunk'd will likely speak volumes. Steampunk'd had another relatively strong lead in last Wednesday. Here were last Wednesday's ratings: In total/18-49: 8pm Skin Wars: Fresh Paint: 456K/157K 9pm Steampunk'd: 313K/149K 10pm Idiotest: 311K/126K 10:30pm: Idiotest: 315K/123K Basically, Steampunk'd dropped big in total viewers from the Skin Wars special but held on in 18-49's very well. Compared to its premiere (for Steampunk'd), it fell somewhat big in 18-49 and total viewers. You can say Steampunk'd fell about 25% in both 18-49 and total viewers from premiere. The premiere wasn't even that special in total viewers but did very well in 18-49's. And yes, Steampunk'd has benefited two weeks in a row from a Skin Wars lead-in. Starting this week and forward, the lead-in to new episodes of Steampunk'd is a Steampunk'd rerun. Ratings thanks to ShowBuzz/Douglas Pucci (TVMediaInsights)

Steampunk'd BOMBED last night... That's all you need to know. GSN should know that not every reality show's going to be successful.

That was fast. I have never seen GSN move on a new original this quick. Harvey Feud replaces Steampunk'd in the 9pm hour, the Steampunk'd rerun at 3am ET is gone. Chain Reaction reruns also pop in at 12am and 12:30am ET.

Wait... No offense, but you're promoting your own site. I don't mind if someone pops up a link to their blog, but please try to restrict your Twitter promotion. Thanks.

I was afraid that would happen, come to think about it. The Twitter links will be very limited from here on out, if at all. Anyway, I agree that GSN should not think every reality show will be a success, as you said. Steampunk'd is much darker (which usually means less positive) than Skin Wars and in addition, too much contestant drama. In fact, an ad that aired during The Chase tonight just focused on contestant's yelling and drama with each other

Harvey Feud replaces Steampunk'd in the 9pm hour... Meanwhile... I wanted to comment on this but forgot to earlier: No. Just no.
