Classic FF begins it's two-week long "Tournament of TV's All-Time Favorites" featuring alumni from The Brady Bunch, Leave it To Beaver, Petticoat Junction, and the 1950s variety series Your Hit Parade in week 1; followed by Batman, Gilligan's Island, the early-1960s detective program Hawaiian Eye, and Lost in Space.
Happy Anniversary!!!!
Just wish GSN would have marked it with a marathon of all 10 episodes in order.

1)Give Joey Fatone or whoever announces more of a role. Isn't there anything they can do for an announcer beyond saying "This is [name]. It's time to play Family Feud! Give it up for Steve Harvey"? At the very least, put JF back live and/or have him maybe describe the car the families can win.
2)Less sex references. The Feud doesn't need sexy questions in every show nor do we need questions that entice answers such as "Your ding-a-ling". I guarantee you that half the ratings rise since 2010 is because of sex questions. Why not give Harvey and the show a chance to go on its own?
3)Money. How many times has this been said? It's not 1976, you can do more than $5/point now. Is Fremantle and whomever else producing/syndicating this show in such severe financial straits that you can't go above $20,000 and a new car? For God's sake, if a family doesn't win Fast Money over less than a 5-show stay, they're walking away with less than what most GSN originals offer or have offered (thinking back to the days when $5,000 was standard fare for the network)!
Edited to add: 4)Fix the editing. There were a couple times that I've seen different answers appearing in Fast Money than what the contestants give. Could we at least see the reason why those answers changed? What decision was made?
Any thoughts from the rest of you?

The things I would change about Family Feud these days is the fact that ever since Steve Harvey started to host Family Feud I have noticed that there are a lot of the surveys Family Feud has are geared to the adult crowd and to me these type of questions are not suitable for children and the producers should try to give Family Feud a more family oriented image by having lots of fun and family friendly surveys. I mean I like Steve Harvey and have seen him act in the movie Think Like A Man but I feel that he could be better doing family oriented surveys on Family Feud. Second and final thing about Family Feud I would change is that they at least could try to keep the show G-rated because I've spotted profanity in several Family Feud episodes and it surprised me that a game show could have a lot of bad words. But with changes and improvements Family Feud will still be a winner in syndication ratings

I don't have a problem with FF having a more risque moment every now and then, most game shows do, including this one, and as long as they tend to be off the cuff and spontaneous, then okay. But the way the show constantly has questions that encourage bathroom/sex humor nowadays... it's just coming off as way too forced and trying too hard for outrageous moments which leave Steve with an face every time someone says something. The other issue I have is a minor one... I wish they could try to edit the music better. Using the classic theme is a nice touch, but there's more to the song than just the same few notes that they use over and over again for everything. And some face off cues would be nice too.

Exactly what I'm trying to get at with point #2. We don't need to have a sex question in every show.
Btw, has anyone else watching the show noticed that Steve Harvey also is not chastising the contestants for poor answers like he did in his first season? (Think "THE PRESIDENT DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU TAKIN' VIAGRA!")

Oh, you know damn well that I'm agreeing with everyone who agrees with #2. Sexual questions on a family-friendly game show need to stop ASAP. This includes Family Feud and anything that GSN made recently - Baggage and The Newlywed Game, anyone? I've been announcing everywhere that I don't care which way a husband's dick leans on TNG or anything along those lines. Stop trying to shove sex shit in my face.
#3 may never happen, but it's possible that somewhere down the line, it will. Hell, Let's Make a Deal now gives out more money than Feud does (they really up it to $1K+ at times). $5 a point in 2013 is sad.

I was a bit taken aback by it at first, but I've lightened up about the more sexual content on the show. It's not like the content is that explicit or on it's on every single question, and honestly a lot of what was considered "risque" in the past is bordering on everyday discussion now. Family Feud is supposed to be about what Americans are thinking about, and let's face it, Americans are a lot more open about sex than they used to be. Besides, the ratings seem to indicate that most viewers don't have a problem with it.
I do agree with the points about the announcer though. I wish they'd get a better announcer, one who would be live in the studio, and give proper intros to the family. And I also agree that it would be nice if they brought back the older faceoff cues, and generally had more variety with the music. Wouldn't mind if they went back to playing the main game for money either - with the ratings they're getting now, I'm sure they can afford it.

I have no issue with sexual/mature question content, but I do agree that it's exactly the sort of thing that can be overdone very easily. Sometimes, less is more.
Totally on board with upping the dollar values a family can win. $20K for Fast Money is still okay, but the $5/point consolation hasn't changed since 1976 and it's long past time for that to be updated. Even $10/point wouldn't do now. I do, however, have a suggestion for a possible improvement: Instead of going by point value, give each family $500 for each number-one answer they give in Fast Money, which would make a consolation prize of $1,500-$2,000 the norm (as more often than not, a family that gets all five number ones ends up winning the lot anyway). You could even do a gimmick like the most recent Australian version had, and increase the Fast Money jackpot every time a number one is given; say, $5,000 each. (To illustrate, a family that gives three number one answers would get $1,500 outright, and if they won the round would take home $20,000 + (3×$5,000) = $35,000.) I think that could work and not require a whole lot of extra rules spiel to drag the show down. What say you?

I have to agree with most of you about change #2. In fact, I have a major problem with all this sex on the television. Mainly, I keep falling off.

It seems that Family Feud is on GSN more than ever before and it isn't even funny. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea? It's not! Having too much of one thing isn't always good, and that's true with Family Feud. I get it, this show brings in ratings. However, there's no reason to be alienating other shows in favor of Family Feud. What's wrong with Woolery Lingo, Card Sharks, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? At this point, even bringing back Deal Or No Deal would be a good idea. Same with 1 vs. 100. I hate to say it, but I don't even mind Dog Eat Dog being in the lineup. At least that's not done to death and to me it's more fresh than Family Feud.
Family Feud has WAY too many slots on GSN. It's ridiculous and if they don't reduce the amount of airings this show has, then I might look for something else to watch during my free time. Losing viewers is the last thing GSN needs and in my opinion, too much Family Feud will do that. The show will become stale (it already has for me) and most people will know the outcomes of most episodes. One of my friends used to watch GSN a lot and stopped watching a few months ago because the channel lacked variety. Hmmm, I wonder why? Probably because there's too much Family Feud on the schedule! Not to mention, I feel that Minute To Win It is getting the same treatment, and I find this show to be boring. My friend's right when he said GSN lacks variety. Too much of the same thing and I've grown tired of it.
End of rant. Anyone else feel the same way?

I hear ya. GSN seems to be obsessed with Family Feud so much, it isn't even funny. Where is Richard Dawson and Ray Combs when you need them the most?
Lucky for me, I have no interest in any 21st century Family Feud in existence, so I am ahead of the game. I only record/watch GSN for the pre-1990 shows while they are currently on the air. Once the schedule is flooded 100% with reality garbage and 21st century crap (which I'm guessing will be by the time the 2020s rolls around), I will be calling my cable provider and cancelling my subscription to GSN.

It's ridiculous that they have to basically hack off the schedule to Family Feud. Look, I love the job Steve Harvey's doing at the moment but they don't need to include 6-8 hours a day of his version ALONE on the network (Never mind the additional two hours of Karn/O'Hurley). It's good that it's bringing in ratings, but that doesn't mean flood the afternoon/evening/night with the show.
And yeah, I don't get why the allergy to Dawson and Combs here. If you can air the show literally over 100 times a week, why can't the classic versions get in on it? Will it be a disaster if, say the 12-2pm airings go to those versions.
Side-note - I agree with Minute to Win It's overexposure. I'm sick of "The-the-the-game-game-game-begins-begins-begins-...." and "BOOM!".
GSN seems to want to ignore everything else and just kiss Harvey and Ohno ass. Even The Chase isn't getting promoted all that well - you'd think they'd do better promos for a show that ran up 500K+ viewers consistently, not to mention kicked the crap out of Ohno in the last two weeks of new episodes.

I agree. I know FF is a popular show and it does well for them, but the amount of times it's shown per week is ridiculous. No show should be occupying literally 40% of a schedule.
