Been watching some more UK Wheel of Fortune lately since various eras are represented online. Their version was cheaper than ours but the presentation is so good, I don't really care. Especially when you consider WoF was prize-oriented for its first decade or so on the air anyway.
The only real flaw I see format-wise is in the first series when the players have to answer a question correctly before spinning the wheel. Every. Single. Time. I know the reasoning is to make the game as fair as possible (it's basically another form of Toss-Ups), but it slows the game down some, especially when multiple questions have to be asked at a time when the players miss them.
Also Bradley Walsh, in comparing his performance to this and The Chase, is like night and day. There's definitely some silly and goofy moments that happen on The Chase, but he's an animated caricature on WoF.
