I agree with gsnnadmin in some way. It may be possible that classic shows from Fremantle's library may be on its last legs, because of Buzzr, which is the new home for such classics. It's just that the existing classics on GSN continued airing beyond Buzzr's launch last June, and GSN was in the midst of a contract to air their leased shows and could not terminate it until the lease expires.
Then again, contrary to what i said aboce, GSN did acquire the rights to Jim Perry's Card Sharks last July...
If GSN picks up more episodes of classics I enjoy, then good. However, I bet it will be a smaller episode order for the existing classics and for perhaps just a few more months.
If they decide to give up on the shows I enjoy, then the writing's on the wall, and Drew Carey will regain a viewer. At least there's one modern show I do enjoy.
The only modern-day programs I can see GSN acquiring are:
Wheel of Fortune (late-90s/early-2000s) Louie Anderson's Family Feud (starting from 1999) The Weakest Link (Anne's version) Who Wants to be a Millionaire (Regis's episodes, unless a lawsuit forbids it) Bergeron's Hollywood Squares (2000 to 2002) Jeopardy! Let's Make a Deal (Brady era, with Tiffany Coyne as a model, and maybe even some Danielle Demski episodes) The Price is Right (Carey era, Season 42 or later, after Game TV loses the rights to Season 42. Earlier Carey seasons are not in the cards because of two model lawsuits still ongoing, Season 40 was a milestone season, and Season 41 may not be a ratings grabber due to Rachel Reynolds' pregnancy being prevalent for roughly half that season, which may explain possible cuts for the show in Season 42, though I'm glad Rachel is still on).

I'd say we should find out what to expect in terms of a spring morning schedule by Tuesday, even if Zap2It is the first to report it.
It was Zap2It that first reported $ale of the Century coming to GSN around the same time period in 2013. Should be interesting to find out what's in store.

I bet GSN may pick up the rights to Wayne's LMAD, Drew's TPIR (Season 42 or later), more Harvey Feud, Shop Til You Drop, Wheel of Fortune, and even Louie's Feud. The part in bold: NOT HAPPENING. I don't expect GSN to go down that path. More of Harvey? Unfortunately. EDIT: And vahan - I believe that looks like CardSharksFan8689 you quoted, based on the username. I'm not surprised, given the fact that he reposted some of that "I think" list here.

"I'd say we should find out what to expect in terms of a spring morning schedule by Tuesday, even if Zap2It is the first to report it."
If by "spring schedule" you mean the schedule for the week starting March 21, it's already available on my blog and Scott Rahner's. There are no changes from the current GSN schedule. By the way, we get the schedules the same time as Zap2It. The pdf files go out to a long mailing list that includes our blogs and Zap2It and a bunch of other sites.
As for the main topic, GSN is demo-happy right now. They're over the moon because their median viewer age has decreased to "only" 59. That's why Hellevator got a renewal despite total viewer numbers that were purely putrid by the end of the first season. The show just happens to skew very young by GSN standards.
Douglas Pucci recently published some Nielsen data that indicates the median viewer age for the weekday morning oldies is maybe 159 (slight exaggeration). If the oldies block goes away, the cause won't be contract issues or Buzzr. (I don't pay any attention to silly speculation about current GSN contracts, because no outsider knows the real situation.) The cause will be the demo data from the Nielsen Company.

And let's hope that this does better than the million dollar revival from nearly a decade ago. Though I believe it won't have as long a run as Super Password nor even Password Plus.

Better yet, let's hope it's more like the ORIGINAL Password

As far as a revival goes, I wouldn't be opposed to one following a model similar to the Password Plus/Super Password era. This show honestly also one to me that screams a $100,000 top prize. I didn't hate the Million Dollar version, but $1 million is a bit too much for the show.
I've really been enjoying Password Plus on Buzzr. Good premiere week with Elizabeth Montgomery and Robert Foxworth. I love Allen Ludden's excitement in these early episodes. He's hosted other shows like Liar's Club and Stumpers, but you could tell that his heart was professionally really with Password.
Tony Randall was doing the most during week #2 but still a really fun batch of episodes with him and Marcia Wallace. After future Blockbusters champion Leland Yung finished, a young George McGrath appears as a contestant. McGrath eventually became an actor and a writer, writing for shows such as Tracey Takes On and Hope & Gloria, and had roles on Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

Apparently he wasn't on more because he didn't want to make the trek to LA to tape more episodes, which is a shame because he would've been a lot of fun to see on a recurring basis.

Watching a batch of Super Password episodes I hadn't yet gotten on Buzzr until now. I'm on the week with Edie McClurg and Charlie Siebert from February 1985. I thought one of the contestants looked familiar. Then I realized it was Kris Mallory. A year later, she would score $0 in the winner's circle on $25,000 Pyramid with Tom Poston one day after winning $25,000 with him.

This week of Password Plus with Elaine Joyce and Tom Kennedy is enjoyable. Also I can't help but notice Allen mentioning the idea of Tom hosting the show; also there was a moment where Allen was talking about what each of them preferred, hosting or being a panelist/player. Elaine mentioned hosting.

Watching fresh episodes of Password Plus on Buzzr. While I'm in the minority about enjoying the no opposites rule on the show, I am bothered how clues (for example, non-amateur is acceptable for professional) were still accepted under the rule. I guess not everything is perfect
