Strike averted, per Deadline and Variety.
Also, I made a mistake, it was actually NABET who struck in the Fall of 1973.

On yesterday's airing of TPIR, Golden Road was played for a $90,000+ BMW. I had a gut feeling the hidden digit was a zero, and she chose the four. If I were on the show, I would have won the BMW.

Watching the Christmas Eve episode right now as I post this. Pay the Rent was played, and the contestant won the $100,000 top prize by just 21¢. Incredible.
I also noticed Manuela's surprised reaction, and I was quite surprised too.
There is also a tie of $1.00 apiece o on the Showcase Showdown, and the first player in the spinoff won $25,000.
These incredible moments are certainly a great way to close out Christmas week with a bang! Also, due to the rise in cases of the Omicron variant in my region (though not bad enough to warrant a full-scale lockdown at this point), I will be away from the office until further notice. So I will be watching TPIR on a daily basis until I return - whenever that will be. The Government in my province is being more and more proactive as time progresses.

The 12/29 episode of TPIR had a three way tie at 1.00, all spun by "finesse spins", finesse spins were attempted on the bonus spin/spin off, to the tune of a $10K winner and a $25K winner

I read on G-R that yesterday's episode was pre-empted. What CBS News-worthy material warranted such pre-emption?

This guy had a baffling One Away wipeout on the Price is Right. The sound effects lady is Horney today, just like the lady plays for Lincoln Mark VII back in 1990.
