Gosh, I hope they don't do the same thing as what they did with the vast episodes of 1984-era Press Your Luck they aired a few years back. With Press Your Luck in 2019, they started fresh episodes with the three episodes prior to Lori/Cathy from August 1984, then jumped back to January 1984 and when they got to March 1984, they jumped ahead to the same August 1984 episodes that previously aired, and continued to September 18, 1984 before jumping back to March 1984 and continuing into April 1984. When they got around to the April and May 1984 episodes, they skipped many individual episodes - alternating between a fresh episode from April or May 1984, and a previously aired episode from August and September 1984, but once they finished up May 1984 (they did air #182, which GSN was known for skipping), the skipping and jumping back/ahead was non-prevalent and aired non-stop through August 6, 1984 before going back to the 1983 premiere. Despite the sloppy scheduling of episodes, I certainly am glad GameTV aired the Michael Larson episodes.
At least the latest batch of episodes of Press Your Luck (acquired last March), despite being just 30 episodes, are all consecutive, but only the September 19, 1984 episode was skipped. It's quite surprising they're keeping this very narrow run on the schedule for this long (though Love Connection also had a 30-episode run on GameTV and it lingered on the schedule for ten months). Richard Dawson's Feud was acquired in the winter of 2020, and did have a lot more than 30 episodes, yet the show was pulled last December but Ray Combs' version retained staying power until March. GameTV's run of Dawson's Feud lasted less than a year, but the Combs' version lasted two years.
One thing that would be pretty bad, is if there is only about six fresh episodes of The $100,000 Pyramid, and jumping back one month. I am almost afraid this may be another 30-episode acquisition but with only five or six fresh episodes.
I also noticed that the GameTV schedule has Match Game '75, but really it is Match Game '74.
I also discovered something a few months back, just before Press Your Luck started to air. There was a parental advisory warning prior to that show's opening. Last week, I noticed the same kind of advisory prior to Super Password and Match Game, but not Tic Tac Dough. What was it about these shows that justified these warnings? Also, does Buzzr have these warnings prior to these shows?
