For those of you who didn't get to see the Match Game marathon on GSN today, this was one of the episodes that aired. It's the Bert Convy-hosted 90s pilot.

To be honest with you, MG '90 had a soft spot in my heart. The format seemed to work and it was never given a chance to succeed. Did anyone notice the Flubmeister screwed up in the first round? I kinda liked the idea of the matches being worth money that was adopted when this show went to air.
Would this show have lasted longer with Convy hosting? It's difficult to say that it would have, given that he died, I think one week after this show was cancelled. Convy was better on this show, but that really isn't saying too much. It's hard to screw up Match Game, although Judy Tenuta did a hell of a job.

Having hosted a version of Match Game on the web in the past, I can honestly say I know how Burt felt after revealing one of Terri's answers. You can guess which one...

Here's the place where you can discuss Match Game airing on GSN. They are currently airing Match Game 76 at 8:00am and 8:30am ET on GSN.
So discuss, and yeah. Enjoy the ______

Hey, on Friday did it seem like GSN skipped an episode or two of MG?

More like several episodes. 714-722 were skipped.

More like several episodes. 714-722 were skipped. I meant several. I was kind of mad on Friday, but oh well. No big deal now. I love my Match Game!

I would really like to be able to know, definitively, what episodes GSN has in airable condition, and which they've been forced to withdraw due to videotape damage. (I know the "Burns and Cuts" episode of PM falls into that category, and I'm reasonably certain it's not the only one.) It would make it a lot easier than just having to guess which got pulled because this or that answer would get GSN some very nasty feedback from potentially dangerous (to their sponsorships) quarters.
Not all episode skips the result of so-called "political correctness" run amok, after all -- on Match Game or anything else. Sometimes episodes get pulled simply because the media has degraded past the point of "broadcast quality," for one reason or another, and GSN no longer has the budget, the facilities, or perhaps even the physical ability to remaster their recordings from the original decades-old master tapes. Sadly, that's just the way it sometimes is, and no one is necessarily to blame for it. These things happen.

Just Anitra Ford's (One of the original 2 TPIR models) appearances, plus other surrounding episodes.

Can't vouch for the reasons of any other episodes skipped around that time, but Anitra Ford reportedly did not clear her Match Game '76 appearances.

One of the editions of "Match Game 76" the Game Show Network broadcast last Friday had Gene Rayburn promoting "Family Feud" for Richardo Dawson months before its first edition was broadcast in 1976.

I wonder if the Match Game episodes (831, 832) that were preempted on Friday for the Marcia Wallace tribute will be aired on Monday, and the rest of the MG schedule will be shifted, or will we miss those 2 episodes until (if) the current lease rolls around again?

In the past, GSN would plan tributes, air them, and skip over episodes of regular shows that would usually air in the slots in question so I wouldn't be surprised to find out if this one was done in the same manner.

The editions of "Match Game" broadcast today featured two contestants Gene Rayburn associated with two famous entertainers who had the same names as the contestants (they were playing against each other, by the way). Their names were Ed Sullivan and Maggie Smith (Ed Sullivan was associated with the host of the TV program "The Ed Sullivan Show" and Maggie Smith was associated with a famous actress from England).
