I wonder why Gene Rayburn often called Richard Dawson by only his last name in the last few editions of "Match Game" to be broadcast by the Game Show Network?

Were there only 4 episodes taped/broadcast for the Don Sutton week? GSN only aired 4, but the episode numbering remains contiguous and as far as I can tell, the continuity with the returning contestants and the game statuses seem to be intact. I want to be sure before I go ahead and update my episode guide.

I'm out of town with family right now who have GSN so I've been watching MG. I noticed the other day that Brianne Leary was a contestant. She would appear later on the show as a celebrity when she starts her run on the show CHiPs.

I want to be sure before I go ahead and update my episode guide. The guides to "Match Game 76" from the sites Retro Game Shows and Game Show Favorites have four dates for when the shows with Don Sutton were originally broadcast with the numbers "846-850", even though the programming guides from the site Game Show Follies list shows #850-#854 as having George Kennedy. One of the guides from Game Show Follies appears to have a similar error in regards to the shows with Gary Burghoff scheduled for broadcast this week: it has those shows numbered the same way as the other guides (861-865) based on their numbers for the shows with Don Sutton and Bob Barker (Game Show Network skipped the shows with Bob Barker for the ones with Gary Burghoff, by the way. They may broadcast the ones with Bob Barker during the week of his 90th birthday, according to one of the guides from Game Show Follies).

I got one question regarding the current limited run oif Match Game '75 to '77...
There was a random episode of Match Game '76 in the 2010-2013 lease, along with a random '77 episode. Did GSN also include that exact same episode of Match Game '76 in this current limited run?

I wonder if the Match Game episodes (831, 832) that were preempted on Friday for the Marcia Wallace tribute will be aired on Monday, and the rest of the MG schedule will be shifted, or will we miss those 2 episodes until (if) the current lease rolls around again? In the past, GSN would plan tributes, air them, and skip over episodes of regular shows that would usually air in the slots in question so I wouldn't be surprised to find out if this one was done in the same manner. GSN should be able to air Eps. 831 and 832 in the next cycle, unless GSN leased Match Game for the same amount of time as Super Password during 2012-13, at which point those two episodes would be shot. But I agree, honoring a deceased game show celebrity takes priority over regularly-scheduled episodes.

I wonder what the producers of the edition of "Match Game" the Game Show Network broadcast between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. (Central times) today thought about the contestant who said she was visiting family for Christmas while knowing the edition would be broadcast for the first time after December 1976 (the program was called "Match Game 77" by then)?

According to the World Wide Web site Retro Game Shows, the edition of "Match Game" broadcast between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. (Central times) today was recorded on Wednesday, December 29th, 1976, even though Richard Dawson in this edition said the date was January 21st (a Friday). That was actually the date for when the edition would be broadcast for the first time in 1977, according to Retro Game Shows.

Did anyone else notice the audio loss during the second edition of "Match Game" the Game Show Network broadcast today (it happened while Charles Reilly was speaking)? If so, I would like to know whether it was the result of a technical error at the Game Show Network, a problem with their recording of the program, or a form of censorship from either the time the edition was produced or a more recent time?

The edition of "Match Game" the Game Show Network broadcast today between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. (Central times) was originally broadcast on New Year's Eve in 1976 (it featured the introduction of the "Match Game 77" sign).

The PDFs are updated through February 2, and much to no surprise, GSN will be reverting back to the beginning of the Match Game lease at 8:30 a.m. ET on Monday, January 13. The reverting back to 1975 will occur, oddly enough, immediately after Ep. 0920-TM airs. This is a rare occurrence that turning back the clock to the beginning will happen in between back-to-back airings.
