This thread is for some of the popular game shows that you can't stand, hence the opposite of Guilty Pleasure
I really can't stand the direction Wheel of Fortune has taken ever since the Prize Puzzle.

I'm thinking there's going to be quite a few Feud comments (I get it; people hate the show).
Because that might be brought up somewhere in the thread, I'm going to go with Let's Make a Deal. Not Monty Hall's version. No, I'm talking about Wayne Brady's. Quite a few things piss me off when it comes to the whole format. I've said the reasons in the AP-LMAD thread, so I'm not going to go through the entire thing again.
I don't know how many times someone's profession can be demonstrated on stage without getting stale. Stalling sucks!

I loathe Supermarket Sweep I bet it's because you don't like me. Seriously, can you at least give a reason or reasons why you dislike the best game show ever? My obvious choice is Family Feud, mainly the Steve Harvey version. I'm not a fan of his humor and the sexual jokes from him and the answers are a bit much. Another one I'm not the biggest fan of is The Newlywed Game. I think it's boring and I'm not into couple/relationship related game shows. They're just not for me.

Supermarket Sweep and Shop Til You Drop. Two boring as hell shopping "game show" crapfests.

Sweep has aged well for me. It's funny, because after working in grocery for 4 years and in much of that time, essentially doing the reverse of the big sweep (return carts) often, I thought that and being in that environment itself for that long would make me not want to relive Sweep, because that environment is not as fun as it looks on a 30 minute game show. But it didn't have an affect on me.
But Shop 'Til You Drop on the other hand, has not. I remember watching the one episode GSN ran during their 50 Greatest Game Shows stunt and it was far less entertaining than I remembered it to be as a kid. And I watched another on YouTube and it still wasn't doing anything for me anymore. I never cared for JD Roberto's version to begin with, so I imagine revisiting that wouldn't be fun either.

A note to bagels: There is zero chance an "argument" is going to break out in this thread. I'm sick of the reporting. We have a feature on this forum, where you have the right to ignore any member that you'd like. It's better than reporting people for little things.

Given Chamele and Sweep's track record, are you sure about that? Also, thanks for the 10%. Your site is trash and you don't know what you are doing. Thanks for confirming that in my mind.

wildjackmonroe, I agree with you on JD's version. It wasn't my favorite show. Granted, there are worse shows out there. But when the stunts were replaced by questions all the time, it went downhill.

Pointless. The show lives yo to its name in my opinion, being just a dull show of a few questions stretched out to an hour. In addition, the prize fund is absolute peanuts even by BBC standards. The only reason it lasted 1,000+ shows in the UK is the banter of the host and co-host that many people in the UK seem to enjoy, but I certainly don't. There's a reason why pretty much every foreign version of Pointless failed and GSN is reluctant to air the version they produced for the USA.

There's a reason why pretty much every foreign version of Pointless failed and GSN is reluctant to air the version they produced for the USA. I remember when a number of British game shows started surfacing on places like YouTube and such in the early 2010's. The Chase, Deal or No Deal, and Pointless being the main three. The latter show is the only one I don't get as excited about when I see episodes online. The show itself doesn't draw me like the other ones do. I'll watch some celebrity episodes depending on who is playing, but that's about it.
I do wonder why their prize budget is so small. The old standard was always that networks over there didn't want to waste viewers license fees on prize budgets, which is why versions of our shows like Blankety Blank, Pyramid, and Blockbusters were so cheap. But with the long since advent of Millionaire (and I'm not saying Pointless should be a zillion pounds)... ehh I don't get it.

I pretty much gave up on STYD when the couples had to keep $2500 in gifts in the bonus round. That makes it seem virtually impossible to win.

Mine has to be Cash Cab. That show doesn't appeal to me in the least.
