Did Buzzr get through the entire 1984-1985 season of Price Is Right before starting at the beginning again? Temptation is definitely the worst game show I have seen. Dirt cheap and it tries to be The New Sale Of The Century. The prizes and cash on the show remind of when we had Canadian game shows in the 80's and 90's. Buzzr got as far as the April 11, 1985 episode before it cycled back to Sept 10, 1984 the season 13 premiere. Of course, Barker Era has previously streamed the remaining season 13 episodes from the spring of 1985

www.gameshowforum.org/index.php/topic,36024.msg416026.html#msg416026 (highlight and paste to address bar) rwalker thinks many 80's tapes have either gotten degraded or lost. No, the reason is because Buzzr has gotten too damn lazy to do anymore converting. If I remember correctly, in past years during the late October thru December period, sometimes Buzzr was very limited with the fresh episodes (except for marathons like Black Friday and of course the Betty White Christmas event) and didn't do very much with the fresh content or had no fresh content all together (except for the marathons listed above) till the beginning of the following year. My guess is that we will have to keep our eyes on the line up beginning in January 2025 (unless if things change between now and the end of December).

Not surprised that BUZZR is resetting EVERYTHING back to the beginning of their runs - they've done so with CC a million times now. It's already early November and CC still is airing their 1988 episodes - and based on latest stats, it seems they are gonna be doing so all the way till November 22nd 2024 and possibly even beyond. BUZZR has released their upcoming schedules only up till November 25th 5:30am and there is no sign of any of the newer episodes. Body Language and Supermarket Sweep are the ones that Buzzr hasn't gone back to the beginning of their first batches. I mean, with the former, they haven't even touched the first 65 episodes of Buzzr's original batch in like forever. And on GameTV, they rerun the same batch of episodes as Buzzr currently airs. GameTV just loves to rerun the episodes that first debuted on Buzzr within the last 4 years. Not sure about those two (never seen them before, although I do know they do exist), but what I can tell you is that CC is definitely not gonna be back for a - pretty long while, if you know what I am talking about.
Based on what I am seeing, the latest BUZZR schedule shows that they're still airing the 1988 episodes, so if they keep up at this rate, the new episodes (1991 - between 1017 and 1074) will probably not be airing for at least another year or so, given that the next new episode will be 1017, and they are only airing up to episode 252 as of Friday November 22nd 2024.

Plus Now You See It 89 and the Kennedy version of TPIR from 1985-86 for shows not aired on Buzzr yet. Still a lot of the existing Goodson shows library to cover yet except for a few shows like Match Game 7x and 66-67 Password which are for all intents and purposes completed for episodes to rerun Now You See It from 89! That one too! I heard it's never been rerun, even on GSN! At least GSN also reran '87 Blockbusters, though.

I have heard way too much about how NYSI reruns would ruin Chuck Henry's news career. How would it have? Although I prefer the Narz version. What would be great is if Buzzr did a one-hour block of Blockbusters and its successor Classic Concentration.

timg It wouldn't. Why is this common myth still being repeated? GSN just didn't wanna show it. Simple as that.

As of November 22nd 2024 they are only airing up to episode 252 (1988) at best, and they have not released their schedule beyond November 25th 2024 5:30am US time.
I wouldn't raise my hopes too high about a "one-hour block" of any shows at this time if I were you, especially considering that two major holidays are around the corner (Thanksgiving and Xmas) and we probably shouldn't expect BUZZR to go without letting their employees clear their annual leaves during such festive periods (knowing their pattern). Besides, if that ever does happen, it will probably be by the time they get round to the next Classic Concentration episode (1017), which may take just over a year if they continue at this rate of four episodes per day, five days a week, without reverting back.

aaaa So you doubt Adam Nedeff? And actually, 3's a Crowd went on for about twice as long as NYSI '89. GSN only showed about 80 episodes. For whatever reason, they never showed the other half (maybe they didn't get around to converting them). Notably during the other half, Jim Peck's hair went back to normal.

Regarding Super Password, I do remember there being a puzzle in early 1987 in which "April 15" is the answer. What date did this episode originally air on NBC?

I don't ever recall seeing those ones. When the show premiered in fall 1979 there was so much backlash that it was cancelled quickly in many cities - I don't think it made it past Christmas in many places. Maybe they ended production ahead of schedule because of this. I know that Barris self-cancelled his other shows around that time. Maybe there only about 80 episodes? It was reportedly GSN's highest-rated show at the time. Doesn't make sense they wouldn't show the whole thing.

game422 Jamie Locklin shared pictures on Game Show Flashback from #79-159, which was recorded on March 6, 1980, including one of Jim Peck with his normal hair. Take my word for it.
