Bonus Round Canada says a surprise Canadian game show is coming this Summer. Maybe Bumper Stumpers I am thinking the same thing. If so, hopefully the first season because the two subsequent seasons were horrible. Did all 15 Seasons of Definition each have 130 episodes? 130 episodes in a season would make sense since that can allow the full season to be reran during the spring and summer. I believe that applied for "Split Second", and in a non-Canadian and non-game show example, "Sesame Street" (until the late 1990s or 2000). It's surprising that "The Price is Right" and "Let's Make a Deal" produced about nine months of new episodes in a season and only rerun about three months of choice episodes during post-Thanksgiving, March Madness, and summer. By producing only 130 episodes, that can allow the full season to be reran during spring and summer. I am quite amazed that a sufficient number of "Definition" episodes from 1980 and 1981 (and maybe early 1982?) have been found. I wonder if celebrity clearance issues involving celebrities from the U.S. (i.e. Audrey Landers, to name one) is a stumbling block in trying to release the pre-1980 seasons? I believe Season 7 is from 1980-81, and Season 8 from 1981-82. I remember there being a home game based on Definition back in 1982 or 1983 (I had a copy of it, but it got lost possibly when my family moved to another area of town) - was such home game plugged in Season 8? I also learned on Facebook that a broad number of episodes of "5-4-3-2-Run" is coming to Bonus Round soon. I learned there are 54 episodes being released. I am kind of surprised the series had this many episodes covering the series' two seasons (implying it was aired on weekends only), considering that NTV in Newfoundland and Labrador aired only 13 episodes per season, airing on Saturdays ( or Sundays, if pre-empted by CTV sports coverage) only. That series involved elements from "Super Sloppy Double Dare" (i.e. slime of three different colors - called "Blue Goo", "Green Stream" and later "Purple Slurple"). I only got to see the first season, but my parents banned the show just before the launch of the second season because the show caused me behavioral issues (giggling, in fact). But regardless, I would have zero interest in the show now.

I did check out Wikipedia just now, and discovered that 1,950 episodes of "Definition" were produced, and I did the following math equation:
1,950 (total episodes) / 130 episodes = 15 seasons.
So yes, it appears that "Definition" likely did have 130 episodes per season.

I just wonder if whoever edited that article on Wikipedia made things up. Anyone can edit anything on Wikipedia.

But in this day and age, Wikipedia requires sources.
I know Bonus Round has only 120 episodes of "Definition" from Season 13 available, so it makes me wonder if some seasons had fewer or more episodes. <script src="moz-extension://ee838e1a-b0fd-43b2-809f-d562d526faad/inject-scripts/searchvideos.js" async=""></script>

Bad news... "Talk About" is suddenly gone from Bonus Round. I posted on the site's Facebook page asking about this. Hoping to get answers soon, though I have a hunch it's likely linked to the looming launch on Buzzr. At least it's great that "Definition" has nearly 750 episodes unearthed, and I did learn that Seasons 9 and 10 are coming soon. I did ask the user on his Facebook page if he has access to any Season 11 and 12 episodes. Hopefully I get answers soon.

I'm looking right at it.

Thanks for clarifying. Don't know why the link to Talk About disappeared on my side.

Although it was not announced by the owner of Bonus Round's Facebook page, I discovered that "5-4-3-2-Run" is now available. It is believed that only 34 episodes were produced covering two seasons. It is a very interesting kids' game show produced in Canada, and said to be Canada's answer to "Double Dare" - because of the usage of slime ("blue goo", "green stream" and "purple slurple"), and physical challenges.
I was (and still am) only interested in the first season, as the second season was not overly great.
I had thought that 13 episodes aired on NTV per season, but now I do recall NTV airing three cycles of Season 2, so it makes sense that 17 episodes in a season is standard for that series - as airing three cycles plus a random repeat in early September would bring the number of weeks to 52.
The game is split up into two rounds, each of which four contestants (usually third or fourth graders, known as "runners") were selected by correctly answering a common knowledge question. Some questions were overly obvious to answer, such as "What is the fourth letter of the alphabet?". Even an average child would know it is D.
Each round involves three questions, the first of which has five possible answers, then four, then three. One of the possible answers is used as a decoy (the wrong answer). Sometimes the wrong answer could be misspelled versions of a correct answer not used (i.e. "MARLIN" for "MERLIN"), and sometimes the wrong answer could be a callback to the last or next displayed answer which is associated with the last displayed word but with a different definition (i.e. "PICKET" after "STRIKE" - as in a picket line associated with a strike of a different kind), and sometimes the wrong answer could be a silly nonsensical answer (i.e. "LIKKERLEE" for the category of "birds"). Sometimes questions could have all of the answers start with the same letter (i.e. "creatures that live under the sea" have all the possible answers start with "A").
After the first round, there would be an intermission with an audience game where the host would ask two questions involving five possible answers. The audience would participate in this game where they would give a quiet response for the wrong answer. After each of the two questions would be a fee plug for a toy being offered as a prize (such as the board game "Grabbin' Dragons", to name one). After the second fee plug, Round 2 would start with the same process for Round 1.
The surviving contestants from both rounds (four max, sometimes three or maybe two) would participate in the bonus round where a contestant would choose the prize they would play for. If a prize was chosen by just one contestant, that player would only need to answer one question to win his/her prize. If multiple contestants picked the same prize, there would be a head-to-head match involving those players, and the last person to answer correctly wins his/her prize. However, in the event that a sound is heard that signals that the round is over, all the (surviving) players with the same prize would win their prize by default.
I did discover that one category on one of the episodes, "Vitamins", displayed the possible answers in a strategic order at the start of the question, spelling popular desserts (C, A, K, E, S) - you obviously know what the wrong answer is. And if memory serves correctly, many many years later, I heard "Vitamin S" on a showcase skit on "The Price is Right". I was quickly reminded of "5-4-3-2-Run".
Come to think of it, I am surprised GameTV never aired any kids' game shows other than "Just Like Mom". Maybe GameTV should consider a Saturday morning block devoted to kids' game shows. I think "5-4-3-2-Run", "Just Like Mom", "Uh Oh!" and "Wild Guess" (the latter two of which originally aired on YTV) would make for a perfect GameTV kids' programming block.
If you love "Double Dare", you'll probably enjoy "5-4-3-2-Run". It's a must-see.

BonusRoundCA has been pretty quiet. They did add 30-some episodes of 5432 Run last month(which did air on some stations in the US circa late 1988-early 1989. including in Philly on WPHL17), and Talkabout two months ago. I think they've done pretty well

Craig said that if Talkabout was popular enough, then they would add Season 2.

BonusRoundCA has been pretty quiet. Since today is the first of the month, I'm curious if BonusRound.ca has any new additions compared to yesterday?
