(this is for the October 17 episode) limes for life funny prize and I really want to see the value but this is the craziest game ever. to be honest I thought the big 40 was 40,000 directly. also I think he finally beat the high scores set by (get name of double day player) (1) I have been wondering when that record was going to be broken definitely considering the higher amounts. (not that as everyone has said lost the piece in press your luck history, his strategy is still a amazing feat)
(1) I do not include bonus game winnings when making these records because that was not part of the original 30 minute game only include the first two round also known as regular play.

We finally have a date for the preempted episode of Press Your Luck with a date of November 28, 2023, though it says (R) by it. It's the first time it's ever gonna be shown.

Maybe the pre-emption was locally, perhaps?

What? Why?
EDIT: Either this is due to the passing of Rosalynn Carter that was just announced (which is a respectful thing to do, if true), or ABC is extending the season into the new year, to fill in the gaps until the scripted shows come back.

could it be that something happened game wise that it can't air without some change on the spot or editing, like a tie

Couldn't have been, if it was pulled at the last minute due to Queen Elizabeth II's death.

Considering that ABC knows that scripted shows will start returning in February, I wouldn't be shocked if the latest season of Press Your Luck continues into January in order to fill the slots.
As I mentioned in the strike thread, ABC's comedy shows return on February 7. But Grey's Anatomy won't be returning until around mid-March.

watching a few episodes on the game show network, I feel part of the show is anti-climatic for the viewer. It would be more climatic for the viewer if the show wasn't self contained.
e.g one episode had 2 out of 5 stages of the bonus game played and 1 spin left for round 3. getting near the top of the hour so you knew the last spin wasn't going to be a whammy because the contestant wouldn't stop with $0

No one made it to the half million mark yet in the bonus round plus by landing on the various dream prizes especially for luxury vehicles, contestants are more likely to call it quits early before attempting to go for the million dollar amount. This fact may have to be corrected but I don’t recall a contestant landing on Prize a Palooza in the bonus round

Now that ABC is preparing to launch new seasons of scripted fare, are there any new episodes of Press Your Luck scheduled for January or maybe even into February (since at least one show won't launch until late-February or March)?
I have to admit, I redeveloped an interest in Press Your Luck for the first time since 2016 in recent weeks, especially since the Tomarken version has now entered what I call the better period for the series on Buzzr (I really enjoy the late-1985 and 1986 episodes greatly). In fact, I've expanded my interest to the current version with Elizabeth Banks as well. I never would have thought I'd ever be interested in the current series, but it's actually pretty good. After seeing a brief clip on YT this morning, I discovered there was a fading effect between slides, but unlike in the 1980s ti was likely done using computers. I downloaded all the episodes that aired so far a week or two ago.
I would love to see the Prize-a-Palooza being hit for the first time - I found out somewhere that that slide was never hit. What year did this slide debut?
And I don't know why I still call them slides - since they presently use images on computer screens. Then again, Microsoft Powerpoint has slides, but the digital variety; and maybe certain Adobe software uses slides too.
Also, what prizes made their debut in the 2023 season? I may consider skimming through all the episodes from the 2023 season (whatever aired so far) after I get off work this evening and maybe into tomorrow to see what I can find.

I think the reason why Prize-a-Palooza was never hit was because it was only featured on the Round 5 board of the bonus round and would have to be hit within the final three spins of the bonus round. The probability of hitting that space in the final three spins seems to be very slim, though I've seen occurrences of players hitting the top dollar amount ($100,000, with or without a spin) within those final three spins of the bonus round. According to what I heard Elizabeth Banks say, the Prize-a-Palooza space is believed to be the most expensive space on the board, as it adds every prize in the frame at the time to a player's total - could it possibly add over $200,000 worth of prizes in one spin?
As for my question about new prizes introduced to the show in this current season (which continues into January at this point), I did discover a trip to Walt Disney World and a Cookie-Palooza (a Kia Carnival and a Cookie Truck - I know a Cookie Truck is a new prize, bu tI don't know about the Kia Carnival) offered as new personalized prizes during this year's Christmas episode. It would have been very interesting if one of the personalized prizes that evening could have been an opportunity to meet Cookie Monster (I heard he is not as greedy about sweets anymore).

CardSharksFan8689 Is this a broken Pick A Corner combination (a cash/spin conflict)? One thing I'm just now noticing is that among the combinations is $3,000/$3,500 + S/Prize (one of three for the third option). It wouldn't really make that much sense to pick the second item over the first. Ideally, the best choices would be a standalone cash amount that is higher, a cash amount that is lower (but has a free spin), and a prize that could be worth either more or less than either cash amount. Surprised they don't replace the second option with a prize. #15 in Round 2 doesn't have a prize like the original show did. At least this isn't nearly quite as bad as it was in June-July 1986 of said original show. ETA: A Casting Call has been released. Season 6 is on. pressyourluck.castingcrane.com/age-gate?fbclid=IwAR1xpQOi3kzZqpcj4efqEopXVaXpKV7AyZh8p4fkezp5eW4ST63MzC8DuRw
