(time's up)Time is up and Game 1 is finished! (audience cheers) [RECAP MUSIC]Marc, congratulations. You have a $40 lead going into Game 2, but as you know, there's always the potential Bob could come from behind. The game isn't over until the scores have been added together. We're going to have the Disney+ Halftime Show right after this. (main theme to commercial, cheers and applause, fade to commercial)

So far, the player in the lead is the one who has done the most buying in the first game. The strong performance in the century round definitely proved Marc’s lead is no fluke. So far he has picked up the investment portfolio, the dining room furniture and cash to a total of a nice even $30,000! Bob has won the sailboat worth nearly $12,000. That said, the second game is sure to be a horse race, and there are plenty of twists and turns at the Fame Game board that could steer the game and the match in someone’s favor. Back to you, Greg.

Very well put, Steve. Well done.
Michael: I'm not sure that was necessary.
Greg: Meet the Deedles and A Goofy Movie weren't necessary, Michael, but those got past you anyway. Marc, it seems you have been doing a lot of buying lately, and yet here you are with a $40 lead. Against a Jeopardy! champion, no less. One thing is for certain, you're quick on the buzzer. Give us your thoughts regarding Game 1 and what you plan to do in Game 2.

Greg: This is from a man who claims that two mice keep him young. Marc?

That first game felt like a tug-of-war with the momentum shifting every few questions. It could have easily gone the other way.
As for what I’ll do in the second half, it depends how the game goes. There’s a lot of luck in this game, from the questions to the Fame Game and beyond.

I think that's a pretty safe answer.
Bob, you're behind by $40, but as you know, it's not over until those scores are added up. You could easily come from behind. Back in the Jim Perry days, tournaments were decided by a best-of-3 or a best-of-5 match that could take days. We have to thank Alex Trebek for coming up with this system we're using because it's allowing us to complete tournaments in one week as opposed to two or three. These two-game combined matches allow for come-from-behind victories, as you well know.
Now, what are your thoughts on the last game, and what's your strategy going into this one?

That's a good answer as well. Now, settle back, relax, as we provide you with dinner. I hope you're hungry because we skipped 20th Century's usual catering and brought in celebrity chef Curtis Stone! (cut to Curtis working at his kitchen, audience cheers) Curtis: G'day, everyone. Bob and Marc, I hope you're hungry because I've got a great dinner planned for you. We'll start with an appetizer of House Stecca Bread with Anchor butter, a 12-ounce Wagyu New York Strip steak, and duck fat potatoes. And for dessert, a cream cheese panna cotta with housemade Oreos and chocolate caramel. And I've got one for you, Michael, and you, Steven, and you, Greg. In fact, I think I'll be making them for everyone in the audience! (audience cheers) Greg: Fantastic! And while we're enjoying our dinner, why don't you enjoy this? It's a song that's gone to #1 twice on the Billboard charts. Once by Tommy James and the Shondells, and once by Tiffany. From their home, here are Billie Joe Armstrong and his sons with "I Think We're Alone Now"! (audience cheers) (audience cheers) Greg: Thank you, Billie Joe and sons. And while we're still eating, let's introduce our next musical guest, who is actually in the studio with us tonight. She was the youngest person to write, produce, and perform a number-one single entirely on her own, at age 17. She hasn't hit the Top 40 on any chart since 2006, but we brought her on anyway. Here performing her biggest hit, "Foolish Beat", Debbie Gibson! (we find Debbie and her band at the performance area as they start playing)(we get various angles of the performance) ["Foolish Beat" Written & Performed by Debbie Gibson] Debbie: There was a time when Broken hearts and broken dreams Were over There was a place where All you could do was Wish on a four leaf clover
But now is a new time There is a new place Where dreams just can't come true It started the day when I left you, oh
I could never love again the way that I loved you, oh I could never cry again like I did when I left you And when we said goodbye, Oh the look in your eyes Just left me beside myself without your heart (without your heart) I could never love again now that we're apart
Oh, when I was sorry It was too late to turn around (turn around) And tell you so There was no reason There was no reason Just a foolish beat of my heart
I could never love again the way that I loved you, oh I could never cry again like I did when I left you And when we said goodbye, Oh the look in your eyes Just left me beside myself without your heart (without your heart) I could never love again now that we're apart
Oh, can't you see I'm not fooling nobody Don't you see the tears are falling down my face Since you went away Break my heart, you slipped away And didn't know I was wrong Never meant to hurt you, now you're gone
[Instrumental Break with Sax Solo and Debbie scat-singing of sorts]
I could never love again now that we're apart. (now that we're apart) I could never love again now that we're apart.
(audience cheers wildly, with food in their mouths; Greg stands up and applaud) Greg: (with his mouth full) Bravo! Bravo! Author! Author! (Debbie gets up from her piano and bows to the audience) Michael: May I say something?Greg: Certainly. Michael: This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life.Greg: No, Michael. Disneyland Paris is the most ridiculous thing you've ever seen. Look at yourself, Mr. Eisner. You've let the Disney magic slip away, and now, you're a shell of your former self. (Greg and Michael continue their argument) Steve: While Greg and Michael continue arguing, we'll finish dinner and then go into game two. Stay with us.Burton: (VO) This has been the Disney+ Halftime Show, sponsored by Disney+. We'll return with Game 2 of $uper $ale after these messages and a word from your local NBC station.(fade to commercial)

(fade in, main theme closes, cheers and applause)Greg: Welcome back, we start game 2 of $uper $ale. Marc: $140 [AFTER GAME 1] Bob: $100
The scores you see now are the scores from the first game. We'll erase those scores. Marc: [ ] Bob:
And then we'll add those scores to what you get in this game. As Bob knows, just because you're in last doesn't mean you're destined to stay there. We're going to start both of you off with new money, $20. (the board initializes) Marc: $20 [GAME 2, ROUND 1, PART 1] Bob: $20
Again, the winner of this match wins $2,000,000 in cash, and a brand new Ferrari. Incidentally, a win for either one of you would put you in the #3 spot on the American game show winnings record list, behind Brad Rutter at #2 and Ken Jennings at #1. Marc, you're already in front of Kevin Olmstead. But that's just some extra bragging rights. Let's start Game 2, good luck to you both. 1. What are the two cities in Charles Dickens' novel A Tale of Two Cities? 2. The album American Beauty/American Psycho was released in 2015 by which American rock band? 3. Mother Teresa was awarded the 1979 Nobel Prize for what? 4. What's the world's largest predatory fish? 5. What river flows through the city of Baghdad?(buzzcodes and answers, please)
