Sixteen-oh-one! James: $1500 Nicholas: $1095 Matt: $1600 Tom: $1601
(ding)Tom, I think you've... Audience: Seen this show before!Greg: Are Orlando audiences well-trained or what? Let me peek at the actual retail price. (I pull it out of the envelope and look at it) Aha! Actual retail price: One-thousand-ninety.... nine. Winner is Nicholas! (dings) [COD CUE](cheers and applause as Nicholas walks up the stairs) And we're just going to stand right here, because the game is at the giant price tag again, and I thought this would be a nice change of pace. Now, Nicholas of San Francisco, we don't have a car for you, and we don't have cash for you. What would you like, instead?

Nicholas: Oh, such as me owning my very own one bedroom/one bathroom apartment within San Francisco?(audience laughs, I look at Nicholas with great incredulity) Greg: Where do you think we are, Australia? Do I look like Larry Emdur to you? Nicholas: I wasn't expecting much(to the audience) He wasn't expecting much. (audience laughs) (to Nicholas) That says a lot about the housing market in San Francisco, doesn't it? Nicholas: Yep, if you like meeting new people and are willing to roommate with someone you just met and getting to know, or with your family, then it works out.Greg: Well, I'm so glad it has. Or it does. Now, Nicholas, we do not have an apartment back there. However, what we do have is a nice prize, and here it is! (Olga stands at the video wall in the back of the audience) Steve: (VO) It's a Hawaiian holiday!(reaction shot of Nicholas) You and 5 guests will fly Premium Economy Class on Delta Air Lines. You may enjoy the Crown Room Lounge before boarding and experience premium hospitality while in flight. From Delta Air Lines, we love to fly, and it shows. And in Hawaii, you will enjoy a 9-day island-hopping tour, with three nights on the Big Island of Hawaii, three nights in Kauai, and three nights in Maui. Hotel shuttle service and a luau experience are included!Greg: And the game we're playing is the Balance Game. Here's a lucky Price Silver Dollar. (I give Nicholas a Price Silver Dollar) See, it still has Bob Barker's picture on it. That coin is from 1984, believe it or not. It has no monetary value whatsoever, aside from what you can get for it on eBay. (audience laughs) Now, we have bags full of Price Silver Dollars. One of these bags is marked $369. Would you please put that on the scale to your left? (he does so) (ding)Thank you. (in an impression of Julius Sumner Miller) Now, you will notice... that the scale, did not move. Why is it so? Allow me, to demonstrate why. We have, a locking mechanism, behind the scale, operated by a stagehand, Marty. Come out, Marty. (a mustached stagehand named Marty reveals himself from behind the scale) Say hello, Marty. Marty: Hello, Marty. (audience laughs, I give off a look of mock disgust) Greg: (back to normal) Marty, you've just violated one of the terms of your contract with this show. Only the host, the announcer, and the contestants can be funny. (I start laughing, so does the audience) Get behind the scale, please. (he does so) Now, where was I? Oh, he's not going to release the scale until all the bags are in place. Now, we've taken care of the last three digits. It's up to you to add more bags to the scale. We have three other bags here. $2,000; $5,000; and $9,000. Two of these bags, when added together with the $369 bag, will total the price of the trip. And thus, when the trip bag is placed on it, the two sides of the scale will balance, and you and five of your friends will be off to Hawaii. Now, which two bags do you want to put on the scale? (audience shouts suggestions)

Oooh, I got Ds in math in school, however, instinct tells me not to estimate the highest possible price that can be made here, so i will stay within a four digit range by choosing the bags of $2,000 and $5,000.

Place the bags on the scale. (ding)And now, the moment before the moment of truth. Here to place the bag on the other side is the pride of Plymouth, Massachusetts; the man with the throat of gold and the biceps of steel, Steve Anderson! (audience cheers as Steve comes out) Steve, do you lift at all?

Steve: Those cranberry boxes we move are pretty heavy, Greg...Greg: See, folks, he even lifts! A cranberry man. So, go ahead and put that bag on the other side. (he does so with the greatest of ease) Greg: OK, Marty, let 'er go! (Marty releases the locking mechanism as the scale moves up and down) (buzzer, '94 losing horns)(audience groans) ('94 theme, no leads bed)Well, Nicholas, I'm afraid it wasn't balanced enough. What was the right price? Greg: It was the 2 and the 9. $11,369. But hey, Nicholas, I want to book with your travel agency. 7-grand for six people? Steve: Premium Economy and 9 Days, for 6 people $7k is a right steal, but not what we had planned.Greg: Anyway, it was good to have you with us. Thank you for playing. We'll see you at the Big Wheel. (Nicholas walks off) And we won't have long to wait, because the Showcase Showdown is coming up next! (audience cheers, reaction shot of Nicholas, fade to commercial)

(cheers and applause) (fade in to Greg at Big Wheel) Greg: Well, thank you, Steve. This is our Showcase Showdown, and this is the world-famous Big Wheel. We have three people who want to spin it. Let's reintroduce them to you. Our top winner, who will spin last, is Doctor Kyle. He successfully extracted $10,000 from the Punch-a-Bunch board! (audience cheers) Next up is Nicholas from San Francisco, who is able to book a Premium Economy Hawaiian trip for six people for only $7,000! (audience cheers) And our first spinner is Danny, who didn't do very well at One Away, but he sure didn't lack humility! (audience cheers) Now, as you know, the person who spins closest to a dollar without going over will go into our Showcase, where they have a chance to win a lot of prizes and possibly a million dollars in cash! (audience cheers) But there's more! If you get a dollar exactly in one spin or a combination of two spins, we'll give you $5,000 in cash and a bonus spin. If it lands on one of the two green sections, you win $10,000 more for a total of $15,000. But, if you land on the dollar in your bonus spin, we'll give you $50,000 more for a total of $55,000! (audience cheers) Now, Danny, you get to spin first. Make sure it goes all the way around or else we'll boo you. (a number from 1-20, please; just post it here on the thread in parentheses, and anything you want to say while it's spinning outside parentheses)
