If you never watched Sports Jeopardy! during its two-year run on Crackle, here are the rules:
GENERAL: Like on regular Jeopardy!, the Sports Jeopardy! and Sports Double Jeopardy! rounds will each have six categories, however, instead of five clues per category, there will be four. The clue values are also different. For the Sports Jeopardy! round, the clue values will be 250, 500, 750, and 1,000. For the Double Sports Jeopardy! round, the clue values will be 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000. Sports Jeopardy! is played for points. The winner will receive $5,000 for each game they win. Second and third place will receive $2,000 and $1,000, respectively. Like on regular Jeopardy! and Seasons 2 and 3 of the Crackle version of Sports Jeopardy!, contestants can play until they are defeated. At the end of the season, there will be a two-game match with the three highest winners. The winner of that two-game match will receive the title, "Season 1 Sports Jeopardy! Champion". Unlike Season 1 of the Crackle version of Sports Jeopardy!, instead of $50,000, the winner will receive $1,000,000, with second and third place receiving $500,000 and $250,000, respectively. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker clue will be played, with the player giving the correct response winning the game (if nobody gives a correct question to the Tiebreaker, there will be a replacement clue). This applies to both regular-play and the two-game championship match. Unlike the Crackle version, Johnny Gilbert will announce because Kelly Miyahara is not on the Clue Crew on Jeopardy! anymore.
DAILY DOUBLES: One clue in Sports Jeopardy! and two clues in Sports Double Jeopardy! will be Daily Doubles. The contestant can wager any or all of his/her points, but they must wager a minimum of 5 points. If the player has less than 1,000 points when finding the Sports Jeopardy! Daily Double, the player may wager up to that amount. If the player has less than 2,000 points when finding the Sports Double Jeopardy! Daily Double, the player can wager up to that amount.
FINAL SPORTS JEOPARDY!: If you have a negative score or 0 points, then you cannot play Final Sports Jeopardy! If you have at least 1 point, you can play Final Sports Jeopardy! Players who make it to Final Sports Jeopardy! can wager any or all of their points, with the minimum wager being 0 points. The players will PM me their wagers. After all wagers are in, the clue will be revealed. The players will have 24 hours to try to come up with the correct question. After all responses are in, the players' responses and wagers will be revealed. If the player comes up with the correct question, they will gain the amount of points they wagered. If the player comes up with the wrong question, they will lose the amount of points they wagered.
PHRASING: During any Daily Doubles including the Sports Jeopardy! round Daily Double, the Double Sports Jeopardy! round, and the Final Sports Jeopardy! round, players will be ruled incorrectly if they do not state their response in the form of a question, however, if you don't state your response in the form of a question and it is a non-Daily Double Sports Jeopardy! round clue, you will get a reminder about phrasing.
