Alright, let's begin with that trip to Cozumel. You have it on sale at $3,320. If the trip costs more than that, you're in business.
What's the actual retail price of that trip, please?
(bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) (Losing Horns)
Oh no Danny, the trip wasn't as costly as you thought. Let's see the retail prices of the bike and chair as well, please.
Well, the bike was way more than you thought and the chair was way less.
Danny, it goes this way sometimes, it just wasn't your day. We do have some nice parting gifts for you though and I thank you for being a contestant on Pricing Game Battles. A round of applause for Danny Margulis please, ladies and gentlemen. (audience applauds as Danny exits the stage)
We're down to our final two contestants -- it'll be Greg vs. Kyle in our Plinko Playoffs when Pricing Game Battles returns in a moment! (theme music and applause) (fade to black)

(fade in with music and applause)
Welcome back to Pricing Game Battles! I'm here with our two finalists, Greg Palmer and Kyle Simmons, who are about to compete in our Plinko Playoffs to determine which one of them will have a chance to win our Showcase of fabulous prizes! (audience applauds)
Down there on the main stage is the game we all know and love...
...and the goal is the same as usual -- win as much money as you can with the chips you have to play with.
In our version though, there are a few differences to how the game is normally played. First of all, we don't use small prizes to determine how many chips you get, we use your standing on the show to decide that.
Greg, with just over nineteen thousand dollars in winnings so far, you are the top winner of the day to this point, so you have earned 5 Plinko chips to play with. Kyle, with three grand and change on the scoreboard, is our runner-up and will play with 4 chips.
The other difference are those zero slots on the board. Hopefully, none of your chips wind up in either or those two slots, but if some do, here's what happens:
Your first chip that lands in a zero plays out as usual -- it's just a zero, meaning you win no money for that chip. If a second or subsequent chip lands in zero however, rather than simply earning nothing for that chip, the result is that your score is reset to zero.
This means that once you've hit a zero once, you'll have the option to stop right there and take whatever money you have on the scoreboard as your score for the playoff or risk having it reset if you drop another chip and it lands in a zero slot.
After each of you have played, whichever one of you earned the higher score in your playing of Plinko moves on to the Showcase round. If, by chance, your Plinko Playoff scores are tied, we'll play a "One and Done" round, where you'll each get a single chip to drop and whoever scores higher with that single chip will be the winner.
Greg, as the top winner, you also have the privilege of deciding who goes first. You can set the tone and play right now or you can hold back and force Kyle to play first to know what score you'll need to beat.
So, it's up to you Greg, who starts our playoff today, you or Kyle?

I shall use my winner's privilege. Kyle shall go first. (although I haven't seen hide or hair of him lately)

Alright Greg, you stand by if you would please, sir. Kyle, let's head down there and drop some chips! (audience applauds as Kyle and I leave the podium area and walk over towards the Plinko board)
So Kyle, as I stated earlier, as runner-up today, you've earned 4 Plinko chips. Up on top of the Plinko board, there are 9 positions to drop the chips in. Position 1 is the far left as we are looking at the board now, Position 5 would be right in the middle of the board and Position 9 is the far right of the board.
Please head on up those stairs and let us know which position you are dropping your first chip in! Good luck to you, sir!!
(audience applauds and shouts positions)

What a start for you Kyle and you have three chips to go! Where to with chip number two?

(Kyle, at this point, I've had enough of waiting for you to reply. When you sign up to be a contestant on a show, rather than just vanishing and leaving us to wonder where you are, have the courtesy to tell the show/host when you'll be back. Forcing us to play things out on your schedule is simply rude and inconsiderate. "It's my sister's birthday" isn't good enough, I'm afraid.
Now, if you had said "I'm sorry, but I'll be gone for the next 7 days to attend my sister's birthday out of town" that would have been acceptable and I would have gladly waited for you. Hopefully, you see the difference there.
In any case, you're now disqualified from the show. I have discussed this with Greg and Danny in PMs and Danny will now take over as the runner-up.)
Three chips to go Danny, where shall we drop the next one?

Here's the fourth and final chip for Danny...
...seems to be staying down the left side of the board...
...and that's another hundred for you Danny! (audience applauds)
Congratulations Danny -- that's $20,600 for you -- an impressive total and talk about putting pressure on your opponent! Greg will have to beat this amount in order to make it to our Showcase today!
Can he do it? We'll find out when Pricing Game Battles continues after these words! (audience applauds with theme music) (fade to black)

(fade in with applause and theme music)
Welcome back to Pricing Game Battles where Danny Margulis has just come out of nowhere to place himself into an ideal situation to be in our Showcase! If you make it there Danny, all you have to do is come within $11,300 without going over to win it.
Let's not count Mr. Palmer out quite yet, however. He will now have a shot at that Plinko board and he earned one additional chip which, who knows, might make all the difference.
Greg, are you ready to start dropping those chips?
