(cheers and applause) That's right, folks. We keep changing our resort locations. No bubbles for us. Some staff stay at the Yacht Club, some stay at the Grand Floridian, some stay elsewhere. So, if you see Steve, Stacey, or me at the Grand Floridian Cafe at breakfast time, drop in and say hi. We won't bite. Now, during the break, we've had a rather shocking development. Nicholas Aczel has departed and forfeited his winnings. That means, as per the rules in his contract when he first became a contestant, we're going to be splitting his winnings in cash to charities. My pick, charity:water. 785 million people lack basic access to clean and safe drinking water. They change that. Steve, what say you? Steve: Jimmy Fund for my selection… What say you, Mr. Richardson?Greg: N-A-A-C-P? Burton: So cliche… Greg, so cliche. American Heart Association, please.Greg: Even better choice. And there you have it. We'll add up Nicholas' now non-existent winnings at the end of the Century Round. Burton: I also talked to Standards and Practices. Steve is going to play the Century Round with our players, using Nick’s score at the time he left. If Steve wins, Grundy will donate $50,000 extra to the Jimmy Fund, and second place will face the Winners' Board. Either way, the other players are entitled to return on the next program * Ahem * And also Steve has no prior knowledge as to any questions at this point.Greg: Excellent compromise. Steve, to borrow your catch phrase on Price, "COME ON DOWN!!!" (Steve tags off with Burton and takes Nick's desk) Greg: We'll just update the score board. Do you prefer Steve, The House...? Frank: $40 Vahan: $45 Steve: $35
Steve: Steve.Greg: Alright, Steve. Good luck to you, good luck to the Jimmy Fund, and good luck to somebody because we're going to have a winner regardless. Let's put 10 questions on the clock. Frank: $40 Vahan: $45 Steve: $35
[10]
(ding)The scores, Steve playing for the Jimmy Fund at $35, Frank at $40, Vahan at $45. Somebody is going to the Winners' Board. Good luck, as we start the Century Round.... NOW! 1. Which US state's name is derived from the Chippewa words for "great water"? 2. What was the primary source of food for the Comanche Indians? 3. What position was first held by Steve Allen? 4. (time's up)Time's up, and Vahan is the new champion! [WIN CUE][RECAP MUSIC](audience cheers) Vahan, congratulations, you missed out on qualifying for the car by $5. We'll come back to you in a moment. Frank, I don't think there were too many Romans in "the Scottish play", considering it was set in, well, Scotland. You did get $8,000 in cash off the Fame Game board, plus $40 in front of you. So far you have an all-cash total of.... $8,040. You will be back to finish up the week with us. Thank you so much for playing, we'll see you tomorrow night. (audience cheers) Steve, it seems that by our champion leaving, we have come into a big windfall for charity. We'll be giving away the tickets to those world premieres Mr. Fiennes mentioned as a door prize. Altogether, Nicholas has amassed a total of $348,582; but in the spirit of giving away Disney's, Grundy's and NBC's money, we'll make it an even $360,000. That's $120,000 for the Jimmy Fund, 120-grand for the American Heart Association, and 120-grand for charity:water. (audience cheers) I'm sure all three charities will be able to use this money. Steve, thank you so much for stepping in at the last minute. Are there any words either of you would like to say at this point before we go into the Home Contest and Vahan goes to the Winners' Board?

Glad to help out, Greg. Sorry it couldn’t be more for the Jimmy Fund, but three very deserving organizations will be helped out immensely by this.

Alright. Now, it's time for our $5 Home Viewer Contest. Here's the scoreline for tonight's episode 4-0-9-5-4-5. Now, if your $5 bill's serial number starts with 4-0-9-5-4-5, you have a chance at one of ten fabulous Walt Disney World vacations and a stake in tonight's $1,000,000 jackpot. So sign the perimeter of the note with the date of broadcast and your date of birth-- so that's your signature, date of broadcast and date of birth--- and send it to: $ale of the Century Lucky Bill Contest 190 Carondelet Plaza Suite # 1300 St. Louis, MO 63105 Include your name, complete address, city, state, ZIP, telephone number, and e-mail address. We'll send you back a crisp, clean $5 bill and your share of our $1,000,000 jackpot. We'll also draw 10 bills at random out of those winners for a fantastic Walt Disney World vacation worth over $20,000. Each winning bill may be redeemed only once, and all winning bills must be received no later than 10 days from the date of broadcast. That's why we ask you to include the date of broadcast on the perimeter of the note. According to the Federal Reserve, there are 3.2 billion $5 bills in circulation as of 2020, so that means there are 3,200 $5 bills out there with our winning serial number. If you have one, send it in! If every one of those 3,200 bills was sent in by one person each, we would be mailing out 3,200 checks in the amount of $312.50. If only one person sends in a winning bill, they get the entirety of tonight's $1,000,000 jackpot. Steve will have more information at the end of the show, and we'll also give you the winning number again. So, Vahan, you just missed out on being able to play for the car. Are you ready to go to the Winners' Board?

Then, let's go shopping! (Let's Go Shopping! cue)(cheers and applause as Steve goes back to his lectern and Vahan joins me at the Winners' Board; the doors open to reveal the showroom and we walk directly to our opposite sides of the board) Well, congratulations, Vahan. An immigrant makes good on $ale of the Century. What were your thoughts on the game?

It's an experience. Not much else for me to say. Do I actually get to stay for as many as 11 days, just like on the 1984-1987 episodes with the Winner's Board?

Well, let me tell you what goes on here. Here's the Winners' Board. As you can see, it's only 15 spaces. We have some great prizes up there, two "WIN!" spaces, and the words "THE!", and "LOT!". It's just like the game you played before, match the prizes and that's what you win. Now, you didn't get a score of $100 or more, so we have $50,000 in cash up there, and you can match it by getting a "WIN!" and the $50,000. Now, should you find "WIN!", "THE!", and "LOT!" in that particular order, then you win every prize up on stage. And let's hear about one of these prizes right now. Burton, we haven't heard from you in a while. Tell us about the boat, please. (Katy, in her one-piece, models the boat as "Amen, Brother Herbert" plays) Burton: (VO) My pleasure. True to its name, the PARTY BARGE® 24 XP3 packs all the features needed for a crew of 12 to play away the perfect day on the water.
Of course, that includes four spacious and comfortable lounges, dual bucket seats for the captain and first mate and storage galore throughout --- even in the floor!. It also means you get a QUICKLIFT® Bimini top and Bazooka® sound system. Snapless mooring top, Tandem-axle trailer and registration fees are included in this watercraft furnished by Suntracker Boats. This package is priced at...(audience cheers) Greg: And since we have a double duty of announcers this segment.... Vahan, should you find "WIN!", "THE!", and "LOT!" in that particular order, not only do you get the boat and every other prize up here on stage, including the car, but we'll also give you the Cash Jackpot. How much is it tonight, Steve Anderson?
