[JAMES]
[$70,000] ***
James, you could not be in a better position. At least three or four chances to roll a 2, a 5, or a 7. Get that 7 and you will win $250,000. Roll that 7, James! (James rolls the dice)Bad roll, hand me a marker. [JAMES]
[$70,000] **
You were one away. We need a 7! (audience shouts encouragements) (James rolls the dice)Well, this game just got a lot tougher. Take out the 5, I suppose. (Big Numbers board is updated) [JAMES]
[$80,000] **
Well, James. You have to roll a 2 now. Let's see you get those snake eyes. (James rolls the dice)Niner. Hand me an insurance marker. [JAMES]
[$80,000] *
Roll again. (James rolls the dice)A 10. Hand me your last insurance marker. [JAMES]
[$80,000]
All right, this is it. If you roll a snake eyes right now, you'll win $250,000. If not.... well, you'll have come awfully close. We want a 2! Audience: SNAKE EYES! SNAKE EYES! SNAKE EYES! SNAKE EYES!(James rolls the dice)And it's an eight! [BAD ROLL](audience groans loudly)

Well, James.... you didn't roll a two, but you came awfully close to winning. You still ended up with $80,000 this round. (audience cheers) But now, you have a decision to make. You can either take the $80,000 and run; giving you a total of over $150,000 in cash and prizes--- or you can risk the $80,000 and face another challenger. Should you win this match, you'd be playing the Big Numbers for $25,000 a number or half a million dollars. (audience cheers) However, if you lose this match, you would lose the $80,000 you've won and you'd walk with whatever you won in the main game. So, will you take the money and walk away, or will you stay and play? (audience shouts suggestions) Remember, every decision is a gamble, and every move could be your last. [WALK AWAY WITH $154,057] OR [STAY AND PLAY]
(drumroll with a ting)What's your decision?

I currently have a job for my local bowling alley because I just needed a job that gets me money for my college tuition. I am entering my junior year at South Alabama. Go Jags!
Over the summer, I grew an interest in collecting bowling balls. When I have free time, I grab a ball and start knocking down as many pins as I can.

Oh, a bowler! That's fantastic. I did a lot of bowling in college. I was captain of my bowling team, and the reason why was: I had the biggest handicap.
What's your best score?

(audience cheers) Wow! That's nowhere near my bowling score. That's 32 points away from a perfect game. Well, Kyle, I hope you don't throw any gutter balls on this show. Let's add some prizes. Dean, what are we adding to Column 1? ["Major Tom (Coming Home) [Instrumental]"]Dean: (VO) Hey players, how would you like to be a rich space cadet like Jeff Bezos? Well, with this prize, you'll be a lot closer to Bezos than an astronaut, because we're giving you 100 shares of Amazon stock!
Yes, Amazon! Named "one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the world". Not only do they own MGM and High Rollers, but someday they'll even own YOU! The value of this prize is determined by the closing price on the day of taping -- in this case, July 30, 2021. It's a prize worth $332,759; that gives Column 1 a value of $442,169!

If I marry a widow with an adult daughter, and my father subsequently marries the widow's daughter, and both couples have children, what does that make me?(buzzcode and answer, please)

(buzzcode: 71) *James buzzes in (56)*James? James: Your father's stepfather-in-law! And Uncle Grandpa! Or Grandpa Uncle!Well, James, we're going to have to take your first answer. Judges, can we accept that answer? (judges accept it)You sort of complicated things, James. What we were looking for is "my own grandpa", but your father's stepfather - in-law or not -- would be your step-grandfather. Then again, that was a rather difficult question. Why don't I just explain it to you in song? Where's my banjo player? (Suddenly, Steve Martin comes out with his banjo and joins Greg at the table, strumming away) Right on time, Steve. Here we go. [ "I'm My Own Grandpa"Written by Dwight Latham and Moe Jaffe Additional Verse by evenmorenonsense Performed by Steve Martin & Greg Palmer] (Greg brings out a chart, and explains it while he sings; an intern rushes in and keeps adding to the chart, I'm not going to bother with it) Narrator — Wife | Father — Stepdaughter | Narrator
Greg:
Many, many years ago When I was twenty-three I was married to a widow Who was pretty as can be This widow had a grown-up daughter Who had hair of red My father fell in love with her And soon they, too, were wed
This made my dad my son-in-law And changed my very life For now my daughter was my mother 'Cause she was my father's wife And to complicate the matter Even though it brought me joy I soon became the father Of a bouncing baby boy
My little baby then became A brother-in-law to Dad And so he became my uncle Though it made me very sad For if he were my uncle That also made him the brother Of the widow's grown-up daughter Who, of course, was my stepmother
My father's wife then had a son That kept them on the run And he became my grandchild For he was my daughter's son My wife is now my mother's mother And it makes me blue Because, although she is my wife She's my grandmother too
Now, if my wife is my grandmother Then, I am her grandchild And every time I think of it It nearly drives me wild 'Cause now I have become The strangest case you ever saw As husband of my grandmother I am my own grandpa
In case you're not confused yet, here's another sight unseen The other day it dawned on me what all of this could mean I know I'm my own grandpa, but I'm almost going mad 'Cause as grandpa of my grandpa, I'm my own great-great-grandad!
Oh, I'm my own grandpa!
Steve: He's his own grandpa
Greg: It sounds funny I know But it really is so
Steve/Greg: I'm my own grandpa
(Steve finishes, audience cheers) Greg: Steve Martin, everyone! (audience cheers) Thank you, Steve. (Steve bows and exits, as does the intern) And thank you as well, nameless intern. You don't know how much coordination went into that number. James, Kyle, thank you for your patience. James, roll the dice, please. (James rolls the dice)All that for a four.
