That Golden Girls episode is one of my favorites. That high five between Alex and Merv will never not be hysterical.
Alex Trebek has also appeared on Blossom, The Nanny, and a couple of times on How I Met Your Mother.
Also on another game show related episode of The Golden Girls, Grab That Dough in season 3, Jim McKrell of Celebrity Sweepstakes played Guy Corbin, the host of the game show that the girls appear on. It'd have been a fun episode regardless but I thought it was really a cool thing that they had someone who actually hosted a game show to play that role. Also there's a cute reference to Tattletales by Sophia.

Here's some more game show host appearences in movies and TV, In the movie Shrek The Third Shrek can be seen talking with the character Mabel the evil stepsister. Who provides the voice of Mabel in Shrek The Third? Regis Philbin in one of his funniest film roles ever, In an episode of NBC's Medium Howie Mandel can be seen hosting an episode of Deal Or No Deal when the character Alison Dubois {Patricia Arquette} has a vision of herself playing Deal Or No Deal when she picks Case #7 and ends up waking up with bad luck, In the movie Racing Stripes two GSN stars can be found doing voices in the movie. Steve Harvey of Family Feud and Jeff Foxworthy of The American Bible Challenge, And finally Fred Travalena of the show Anything For Money appears in the movie An American Carol, Kelsey

A couple of Trebek sightings nobody's mentioned... Trebek on Cheers, when the show was "on location" in Boston and Cliff was a contestant. Trebek on Golden Girls, when Dorothy has a dream about herself and Rose on the show. (Ignore the border around the video. That's just a way to cheat YT's system.) I LOVE that Cheers episode and when I first saw it on Hallmark Channel I played my Jeopardy Nintendo DS game along with Cliff and actually beat him and did better than Cliff. It's wonderful that Alex Trebek apologized to Cliff at the end of the episode, Kelsey

Allen Ludden appears in a sci-fi/horror flick called Futureworld in 1976, as, naturally, a game show host. The film is rated PG, but considering the rating for PG was a lot more lax than it is today, I'm naturally dying to see this film, at least the scene with Allen in it. I know it's available on Blu-Ray, hopefully Netflix has it...

Steve Allen appears as a talk show host on an episode of The Snoop Sisters, one of the crime drama shows that aired as a part of the NBC Mystery Movie umbrella in the 1970's. Also Bert Convy had a regular role on it.

When I was watching Judge Judy today I found a new commercial for a new cream called TriCalm that features Chuck Woolery. I am so glad to see Chuck Woolery very happy doing commercials for products. Chuck Woolery always amazes me and with his talent in promoting products I think he will be the new Billy Mays, Do you agree?, Kelsey

Today Mom and I were watching Hallmark Channel and we found a movie called The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year that stars Henry Winkler of Happy Days and The Chase's Brooke Burns and when we heard about this movie I didn't know Brooke Burns was also a talented actress. If you haven't seen The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year yet I recommend this movie for all you fans of Brooke Burns and The Chase, Kelsey
