Hi friends - I've found a copy of the final episode of "DOND on Tour" and am happy to upload it for sharing...I think someone posted it at some point this past year and I downloaded it at the time. Does anyone else have copies of the other "On Tour" episodes, now almost a year later?

Get out those briefcases again. Deal or No Deal (with Howie Mandel) is coming back, but this time, it's to CNBC. The Story from TV Guide

If it's going to be a sane show like the early episodes then great. Otherwise, hard pass.

It's gonna have gimmicks, I can assure everyone of this. It's 2018, there's gonna be BS.

If I were to guess, yes there will be gimmicks.
Actually here's my question. Will it be modeled after the network or syndicated format? I think I have an idea.

As soon as I saw the application link, I clicked it. I figure that I'd read through it for ha-has.
Apparently, they're looking for your full biography. I don't know if this is an application for a game show, or a part-time job. "List your last three jobs." "Please list three people whom you frequently see in case we need to get in touch with you on very short notice or who can serve as a reference." (The second quote includes you adding their phone numbers, addresses, and whatnot.)
This is borderline scary, really. It almost appears as though they could pass you by and choose one of your references.

the briefcase-based game show that had audiences yelling at their TVs in the mid-00s I'm pretty sure most of the yelling was variants of "Get on with the damn game!" and "It shouldn't take 88 minutes to open 12 cases!" As soon as I saw the application link, I clicked it. I figure that I'd read through it for ha-has. Where's the application link? I didn't see one in the article. Apparently, they're looking for your full biography. I don't know if this is an application for a game show, or a part-time job. If this is gonna be anything like the NBC run, it's probably their way of figuring out what gimmicks and other assorted ways of farting around they could shove into your game.

Thanks, Mandoli. Gotta love a question about education that can't spell "education" properly. "This is so we can use it against you during your game." They're bringing back the "support group" element that bogged down the NBC version and basically amounted to padding. Yaaaaay. In this section, mention is made of undergoing physical and psychological evaluation (paid for by the production company) to determine if you're good to go on the show. All things considered, I wouldn't be surprised if among the standard tests there were things like "run around like you just won a ton of money", "scream like you just won a ton of money", and "dance like you just won a ton of money" during the former and hypothetical six-figure Banker offers (to which saying "Deal" even once silently takes you out of the contestant pool, which apparently was the case when the NBC version was holding auditions) during the latter.

I hate to judge before the completed product, but this sounds exactly like they're going to be having the shenanigans that eventually dogged the NBC version. If so, I'll just stick with whatever I can find of the syndie, UK or Australian versions if I ever want to revisit.
The early NBC episodes in spite of stuff like the support corner were really good because the game was the focus.

I'm probably going to judge this based on one episode. That's going to suck.

Wow sounds like Meghan Markle has a terrific acting career. Now I know why Meghan Markle's career took off after Deal Or No Deal was cancelled because she was so nice on Deal Or No Deal. Hope we hear more about Meghan Markle in the near future sometime. Thanks for your great reply Wild JackMonroe, Kelsey I know this an old post, but I just read through this entire thread for the first time today. I must say we have all heard quite a bit more about Megan Markle in the future since this post, considering who she is going to be marrying. (I loved DOND, btw)

So... I haven't watched a lick of the show since CNBC's run started, and maybe that's a good thing. When wildjackmonroe said "it's probably going to be like the later primetime run" (pretty much), he wasn't lying. It's absolutely like it.
