The $ale episode is from the episode right after the 1988 TofC, as Jim implies at the beginning of the show, and it aired 2/1-2/9/1988, so this episode uploaded is from 2/10/1988

The same channel who posted nighttime WHeel, Jeopardy, and $ale episodes has posted the 2/10/1988 episode of Classic Concentration(seen on BUzzr and on David Downs' page from that 2019 airing) from the original broadcast at www.youtube.com/watch?v=J41BUATb7fU

Chelsea Thrasher has posted the 12/7/1988 episode of $ale taped from a Summer 1994 USA rerun(not terribly rare, as GSN aired it in 2013 and it's on Youtube from that airing) at www.youtube.com/watch?v=15KoOv3LZKY

That version of the Classic Concentration episode has the original home rebus contest details and contestants card as its the 1988 broadcast, Buzzr showed only the puzzle in Alex’s intro. This was day 2 of fhe first contest

Sale, daytime Wheel, and daytime Win Lose or Draw of the 2/10/1988 NBC daytime lineup have not been seen since their original broadcast, as Scrabble(Game Show Host week two was the week of 2/8-2/12/1988) would have aired circa early 1994 on USA and 1988 episodes of Super Password(2/10/1988 was the Dobie Gillis all-star week to promote the Bring me the Head of Dobie Gillis TV movie on CBS) aired on GSN last circa 2007

It'll be interesting to note, at this point, with Search For Tomorrow just moved to another network, this is the area of episodes that marked the official ending of fur coats and anything fur-related being featured as prizes on the show, but the Pet Spayed/Neutered closing line hasn't debuted yet, and the Secret X board has yet to be refurbished to yellow squares and Squeeze Play hasn't yet to be moved to the turntable at this point.

Or it could be that Bob didn't use the pet population speech in this episode but might have used it on one of the episodes that week (as well as one the previous week). Unfortunately even though fur coats did appear to stop being giving away by this point, GSN didn't air all of the 2nd half of Season 10 full screen or WIN-TV, this episode included.

Barker said also they were going to be testing a new game in the studio "the next day". I suspect that game would have been Pick -a-Pair, which debuted on the show one week later. Pick-a-Pair is the most recently debuted game IIRC for which the first playing doesn't exist on the trading circuit or on Youtube.
