Noted in the shoutbox last night that hockey legend Jean Beliveau passed away at the age of 83. As a small tribute, here he is on TTTT in 1957. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZfEjKZgyms

A little something-something for you on a Friday night: A full episode of It Takes Two, starring Vin Scully, from circa 1970:
While we're on the subject, here's the opening sequence of another episode, where the dress code is about as casual as the time the tape starts rolling. Figures, with CNR involved. ;^) And finally, two segments of the 1997 Family Channel revival, from the premiere episode in fact, starring Dick Clark and special guest Vicki Lawrence. Reunited, and it feels so... good? Heh. And Vicki, as ever, gets the last word (or does she?).

Is this why they stopped making Solari-board scoring displays at around this time? Well... not exactly, as you'll see if you watch the whole clip...

Forty-five years ago today, NBC broadcast this special Concentration, which as usual for Christmas featured a guest appearance by Santa Claus himself. And as usual, two Santas showed up, and also as usual, the only way to settle the dispute of who's real and who's not is to match some prizes and solve some puzzles. Merry Christmas, everyone! 8^D

And on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I give you the original theatrical trailer for 1980's The Gong Show Movie:

Unaired gag episode of Family Double Dare, recorded in July of 1990, featuring members of the production crew playing the games and a rather unusually-attired Marc Summers. Presented here in the raw and uncensored: With appreciation to Alex Davis of BuzzerBlog for alerting the Internet to this thing's presence. ^^;

Here's a treat for fans of Richard Dawson's Family Feud. A champion family from the daytime series in 1980 has uploaded their entire run onto YouTube. This is interesting because some of the copies they uploaded are original broadcasts with original commercials, and then the other ones that aren't are studio masters with the slates!! And they're all in fantastic quality no less!! Here's the first episode, the rest you can find by going through their YouTube channel:

Here is what looks to be a 1957 episode of the British version of What's My Line? with Eamonn Andrews. Sadly, this show was another victim of the BBC's non-stop erasing. If I could, I'd resurrect this show from the erase-o-matic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Thk2OZ6lAY

I'm so glad more Dennis James Price is Right has been discovered. After listening to all those 1973-75 audio episodes that surfaced a while back, he definitely became a favorite of mine.
