At least they're not remaking that medieval-themed AG clone, Knights and Warriors!
Then again, I've had the opportunity to meet a couple of the Warriors, Plague and Pyro.

I actually thought it was fun for what it was. Some of the events, like the Volcano and Roller Joust, were at least as good as many of the Gladiators events (particularly the ones added later in the run), and the tongue-in-cheek comedy bits were at least different. Yes, it was an unashamed clone and it was never going to have a long lifespan, but at least they tried to give it its own unique identity. That's better than many "me-too" clones of a successful series can claim.
Fun fact: Joe Fowler, the host of Knights and Warriors, had a cup of coffee in the then-WWF as a backstage interviewer in 1993, starting at SummerSlam that year (and not lasting much beyond that). So that's something else this show had in common with Gladiators, since we all know about Mike Adamle's "legendary" WWE tenure in '08. ;^)

I forgot about that. The only other thing I remember him for was for an infomercial for the "Pump-N-Seal", a manually-powered food vacuum sealer.
