I am watching the Pyramid rerun on GSN right now and I see Luis Avalos. I had no idea who he was but it turns out he is most well known for being on the original Electric Company.
I doubt he was invited back after that one week he was on. Why is that?

And one of his Winner's Circle subjects was "What a taco would say!" How ironic!

I saw another celebrity I didn't recognize on the GSN rerun of The $25,000 Pyramid today. Who is Millicent Martin?

Near as I can figure through IMDB, she was a journeyman (journeywoman?) actress who had guest roles on a number of series during the '80s and did some TV movies. Perhaps she was there to plug one of those.

When she appeared on $25,000 Pyramid she was doing a short-lived series called Downtown, which aired on CBS. Her most recent work has been guest shots on Modern Family, Castle, and Hot in Cleveland. She also had a recurring role on Frasier as Daphne's mother Gertrude.

I was flipping channels the other night and I saw her on Bones. So there's another recent role.

I just saw Lauri Hendler predate the Macarena on Pyramid a few minutes ago!
Wasn't that neat?

I had a crush on her when I was a teen in the 80s.

This has to be the only known triple-disqualification ever in the WC.
PS: What would be good clues for THINGS THAT ARE CHRISTENED?

PS: What would be good clues for THINGS THAT ARE CHRISTENED? All I have is "a new baby" and "a new boat."

This has to be the only known triple-disqualification ever in the WC. Just curious, who was the celeb in question? I'm not sure which episode you're referring to specifically (don't have GSN right now). But it's happened at least two other times with Clark's run. With Jackee Harry in 1985 and Dick Cavett in 1988. I have a feeling it's not Cavett based on the Christening clue and it's not Jackee because that was during the first season of $100k.

It was Cavett, and "Christened" was not part of that particular draw.
Two of the subjects he got DQ's on were THINGS IN ROLLER DERBY and THINGS YOU SNAG.
PS: The second game was impossible (THINGS THAT CONGEAL as $300 box?!?!?!?!?!? Never heard of the word before).

Congeal means to solidify or coagulate, by cooling. A good clue for that would be cold grease or cooled cooking oil, or Crisco.
