Congeal means to solidify or coagulate, by cooling. A good clue for that would be cold grease or cooled cooking oil, or Crisco. Or -- and this might be kinda graphic, especially for an '80s daytime game show, but it would work as well -- "a scabbed-over wound."

Regarding such unusual category "Things You Congeal": It seems as if the $300 category on The $100,000 Pyramid may be more difficult than on The $25,000 Pyramid. Plus it could be even more difficult when it is during a $100,000 Tournament playing. I do remember seeing a clip of a $100,000 Winners Circle playing where Nathan Cook had to explain "Things That Are Enshrined" - definitely not a category you would see on the $25,000 version. The higher the stakes, the more difficult the categories may be.
Was this "Things You Congeal" category during a Tournament playing?

No, it was not.
I've never seen THINGS THAT ARE CHRISTENED on Pyramid, either. I asked that originally due to it's apperance on a FF DVD bonus round.

Does anyone have a complete guide to both The $25,000 Pyramid and The $100,000 Pyramid? I am documenting my tapes, and I have found a boat load of episodes, and would like to label them properly, or as close as I can.

Has anybody ever thought to make a website with game show episode guides? Seems like something that should be done.

I actually edited part of the Card Sharks (Perry) episode guide (with correct airdates and episode numbers).
I've thought about doing other guides, but I'm so busy

Surprised neither Barbeau nor Hendler played against Graf or Holliman.

I notice that most of the Dick Clark hosted 25K & 100K Pyrmaid eps are listed on the pages of Ryan Rinkerman, Brandon Bolton, Chuck Donegan, Seth Trasher and David Downs. In addition, 80s Pyramid eps are also avaialble on the YouTube pages of jennings861, Dontryl Alexander, GSNfan19, Josh Miller, gamelover1949 & millioncolorsoflight and on Jennings' Dailymotion page.

Dick Clark on the older Pyramid mentions some people "play along" with the show at home. My question is, how? Just shouting clues on the TV, or hold your head back away from the TV so you don't see the answers? Because the answers were on your TV screen back then I assume, right? You know, things can be edited. Me, I do it both ways. Sometimes holding head back, sometimes shouting clues. Some things I said above might sound stupid, I'm just wondering, and want your perspective on this. Thanks. Sent from my GT-P5113 using proboards

I consider myself a better giver of clues, so coming up with clues as I watch is how I play along with the show personally.

I try and guess. Sadly I'm usually beaten to the punch (actually they came up with the answers before I was even born.)

I consider myself as a better giver as well, but the giver on TV usually beats me to the clues. I just started recording 25k Pyramid after I ran through the SotC episodes of what GSN is airing now. I enjoy Dick's Pyramid very much, its fun to play along with in different ways. Sent from my GT-P5113 using proboards

Probably by closing their eyes and listening, or doing what Brandon and I do and giving the clue. I'd be atrocious at receiving clues myself...
