Another season of Harvey Feud? I'm shocked! /sarcasm Yeah how dare they add more episodes of their highest rated show. That's not the point. The point is that they're now seemingly phasing out even the moderately successful classics (like Pyramid) and general off-air programming (like Millionaire) for more of the same shows. They're not even getting out some of the not-often-played-anymore shows from the 1990's-2000's either. And I'll even go so far as to say there was even more to offer in terms of game shows from GSN in 2004 than this.
Like, if these changes are supposed to convince me to get cable or get some kind of streaming service like Sling that offers GSN, it's not working. Let me just stick with Buzzr, and most of the other current game shows to offer. It's much cheaper.

Sometimes I wonder why I even post here.
You honestly think gsn is going back to classics, when they are phase out 2 classics? LMAO
If anything, this is a sign the network is sunsetting or re-branding. This reeks of what happened with techtv when it re-branded to g4. You see how that worked out
Pretty soon, the Mg slots will be covered with 2010 Steve Feud
Eh, never mind. Keep living in a delusional bubble

Who's Fran Shea I need to send her an email or do a rant video on GSN Please do neither. I wish I didn't get notifications for every time a reply gets posted in this thread just because I posted in it a few times (I realize this is a Proboards thing and not something Mandy+co. can do anything about sadly) because some of the replies in this thread, especially when GSN makes new schedule changes, are god damned embarrassing. There is a way to shut them off. I would. It's hardly worth it I run a fun fb group for game shows. Tsk tsk

Buzzr stream is free. Kind of makes it easy for you Granted, they had hellacious issues with buffering last week. I guess it took multiple people blowing up their inbox and social accounts to get them to fix it. I call it customer no service But, by God, their programming lineup makes it worth sticking around. Say, what happened to gsn running that Cover Story? They axed that too? I believe Wink was going to be on an episode. Damn shame that we won't be able to see it

Sadly though, G4 folded. I also wish that GSN or Buzzr can bring back the reruns of Karn-era Feud, just to keep GSN afloat. Remember the time Patrick Morgan(of Game Show Favorites) created an online episode guide through all of Karn's tenure and even recorded every single episode of the Feud from his tenure? Like the monies the families won in the episode.

Somehow I get the feeling this may have been a decision made by Fran Shea all along. I really miss Amy Davis already. Who's Fran Shea I need to send her an email or do a rant video on GSN I think Fran Shea knows what she's doing. They're in the ratings business after all. I'm not saying that Buzzr isn't trying to score ratings (although Buzzr is only available OTA and streaming online), but they're probably doing worse than GSN right now. I long for the good ol' days too when I started watching GSN in 2006/2007 but those days are gone. Old game shows probably aren't going to do as well (or as decent) as say, M*A*S*H or Andy Griffith reruns on MeTV (I use those examples because those have been in the same time slots at night on MeTV for a long time now.) Game shows are a niche genre as a lot of us probably understand well here. I'd be interested to see Buzzr's ratings, I doubt they are very high. It's been awhile since I've seen them add any affiliates, checking Buzzr's wikipedia page often and their website, I could be wrong. Maybe streaming is where Buzzr's future will be, who knows. But GSN sure isn't going to hit the ratings jackpot with a schedule full of old shows like they used to have on years ago. I'm not sure how $25K Pyramid was doing in the ratings, or Card Sharks. Match Game probably still does well enough to survive, that's probably still a popular game show to an extent, and probably my favorite of all time. Match Game is the last pre-1990's game show standing now. It does no good to write a letter or complain, because they look at ratings, they probably get feedback on that GSNTVNation thing they're doing. I'm sure they look at a lot of things when tinkering with the schedule, these people at the top working for GSN know a lot more than we do, I'm sure. That's why they're there and we're here.

Some of you are big time dummies, seriously. Do you really think GSN is going to ditch their highly rated shows? Better yet, do you really think GSN cares about what you think? If you can't get used to this, stop watching and stop complaining. Steve Harvey is here to stay. Now shut up and enjoy your Harvey Feud.

The days of GSN showing rarities like Hot Potato on a regular basis are clearly long over. I'm not even upset about it. But not even showing stuff once a day in the morning or afternoon tried and true like Pyramid, Jeopardy! and Millionaire, when there are many years of each show (and in the case of Pyramid, multiple versions and dollar amounts) to work from to keep the audience's attention? More of something like Card Sharks outside of Buzzr's windows? I don't even care how recent something like the Jeopardy! lease would be. I don't even blame them for having something like Steve Harvey's Feud and getting their share in the popularity of that, and I'm not saying they should drop it, but if the only selling point for me to do extra things and spend $$$ to start watching GSN again is "hey, we show WE GON' PLAY STEVE!!!1" 70 jillion times a day, while they do other questionable stuff besides shelving popular and well-known classics like burning off originals with potential in the middle of the night and failing to renew some of the others like The Chase and even Chain Reaction, then I'm sorry, I can watch current Feud two hours a day for free on a local affiliate if I so desire.
They really ought to have more to offer, at least during the day. Eventually the Steve Harvey balloon is going to let out. The concept of classics 24/7 on Buzzr and classics 24/7 on GSN obviously are different animals and I think most people realize that and don't realistically expect GSN to dump everything for old shows. But the selling point of one show largely being the sole anchor... while on top of that their daytime schedule also taking some big blows? This is only gonna work for a matter of time as well, isn't desirable, and as someone who spends their money on entertainment carefully these days? Yeah, I'll stick with other methods to get a game show fix.

No Thanks, bagels. I could find anything else to do everynight(like watching Buzzr online for example) since you liked the GSN reruns of Harvey Feud so much if i'm not mistaken.

It's set to air sometime in October and it concerns "super contestants" like the lady on Wheel Of Fortune who solved the "I've got a good feeling about this" puzzle with just the L on the board and John Carpenter's million dollar win on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Not sure if that's going to be the only episode.
