Flip Side also makes its GSN debut at 7 PM (Switch's current slot) on the same day. So there may be a larger schedule shakeup.

It comes to GSN on September 16th at 6PM, replacing Beat the Bridge. Yet another Original leaving the schedule completely with several episodes left on the table. It seems lately, any Original with 100 episodes produced in a season can't hold on. Hey Yahoo! apparently has been kaput and now Beat The Bridge, hope it moves to 8am to replace Catch 21, cause Catch 21 is dued to get replaced. Beat the Bridge’s original UK counterpart, Bridge of Lies does better than the US counterpart.

I watched an episode of Beat the Bridge and was unimpressed. It looked interesting in the promos but it was too slow to me and boring. It doesn't surprise me that that show is gone, really, though I don't expect everyone to share my view because not everyone does a lot of the time and that's fine lol.
Honestly I'm surprised it took this long for Baldwin Match Game to make it to GSN. I couldn't care less, I thought Alec Baldwin tried too hard and ABC tried too hard to make it like 70's Match Game but I think it was pretty terrible, although the set was nice.
If ABC really wanted to continue with the show, I wonder why they couldn't just get a new host and replace Alec Baldwin? I was under the impression ABC canceled it because of the Baldwin 'Rust incident'.
EDIT: I looked it up on Match Game's wikipedia page, it looks like it says ABC made the decision to cancel the show before the Rust incident.
They didn't announce it until 2022 though it sounds like. Of course, who knows, ABC could've just said that but like I said, they could've gotten a new host if they wanted to continue it.

Also, looking at the schedule, Pyramid with Michael Strahan is gone, Chain Reaction will take over the 4PM and 4:30PM slot. It is unknown whether Hey Yahoo will return to the schedule.

One slight change in overnights - Flip Side gets a second airing at 1:30 AM, replacing the second half of the late-night America Says hour. Prime time is unchanged, and yes, $100K Pyramid will be gone from the weekday schedule. We'll see if it still turns up on weekends.

Speaking of the current Pyramid, it was curiously missing from this year's ABC's Summer Fun and Games for some reason, which caused some people, including me, to question why. One theory is that it was due to Strahan's daughter getting Brain Cancer (thankfully, she is now cancer free).
Season 7 was a bit of a letdown for me, because for whatever reason, they thought it was a good idea to recycle the Rosie O'Donnell & Jason Alexander match, and unless you're a diehard viewer, you won't be able to notice that they taped multiple intros and outros with Strahan for that match.

Like Celebrity Family Feud, you can notice that the each 60 minute episode is divided into "half hour" sessions which the host's outfit is noticeably different from the previous "half hour". The current version of PYL doesn't have that by any means. Something's telling us that CFF somehow doesn't have a team intro for the second "half hour" session. I know, Match Game when it used to be in the Summer Fun and Games lineup didn't have a seperate "half hour" session opening intro either.

I wouldn't be surprised if ABC cancelled Strahan's The $100,000 Pyramid quietly.
That, or it may air in the fall. Some prime time game shows will be airing in the fall, implying that it is more expensive to pay the actors/actresses and the writers for scripted shows now - after last year's strikes were settled.

Someone at GSN really likes "Chain Reaction" and Rayburn "Match Game," apparently. It seems like "Chain Reaction" always finds at least two slots per day; even when its timeslot is taken by something else, like Strahan Pyramid this time, GSN just takes that off and moves "Chain Reaction" around. Amazed it took Strahan's timeslot as I thought Pyramid 2016 was a constant ratings-grabber for GSN. Maybe it's finally run its course? Also surprised that Rayburn stays on the schedule, even with a newer counterpart debuting a few hours later. Still wish we'd heard something on Brooke Burns' supposed TTD remake...I was looking forward to that one.

Only Family Feud(various versions) has logged more weeks on GSN I don't' think it has been exclusively MG7x, as I recall a period when MG Synd was airing, but the point of Rayburn-era MG consistently airing on GSN is well taken.

Alec Baldwin's Match Game taking over the 6pm slot? Well I know when NOT to tune into GSN.
