I think the more likely reason is that the nice lady who sends out the schedules took some time off. People read so much into these schedules...and they even speculate on the reasons for when the schedules come out. I think there are a lot of conspiracy theorists on this board. No offense.

Well, here's something to contribute to conspiracy theories. GSN still hasn't sent out the pdf advance schedules, but Monday, December 21 is now available at gsn.com. No changes that I can see, except one that will set off weeping and gnashing of teeth. The 8:00 AM hour of Match Game is gone. In fact, there's nothing scheduled in the hour. I don't know if this is a mistake or if GSN has really decided to sell infomercials in the hour. But that's what the online schedule says.

It still shows Match Game in the 8am hour. It also matches up with the website schedule by listing a 90-minute DOND on 12/21 afternoon (followed by an ep of Catherwood CR). Also, the B&W hour is listed for next week as expected. The only deviation from the schedule appears to be Christmas day, which shows Family Feud from 12-8pm and two new episodes of Chain Reaction in the 8pm hour. The rest is the standard lineup.

I believe this is a better schedule from GSNTV.com. I actually think the one at GSN.com is somewhat unreliable and "stale" at times compared to the one at GSNTV.com.

A commenter on my blog points out that it could be a typo, because Match Game is listed in the 8:00 AM hour on Saturday, December 19. Which makes no sense. That hour has been infomercials for a long time. We'll see as the online schedule develops. And sooner or later GSN will send out the pdf advance schedule for the week.
Also, O'Hurley Family Feud is listed at 12:00 PM instead of Harvey Feud.
Zap2it has definitely been updated very recently. Yesterday the site had a crazy schedule for the December 21-27 week, with stuff like It Takes a Church. (I checked.) So it could be they got the advance schedule but a copy still hasn't made its way to little old me. Which has happened in the past. Zap2it is way higher on the food chain for the schedules than I am, as you would expect.
A funny note: another commenter on my blog will be disappointed in the Zap2it schedule (and all the other schedules). He posted that GSN would start running Sale of the Century instead of Perry Card Sharks, and we would get an eight-hour marathon of Sale on Christmas.
No sale on that.

That's the same idiot who had the audacity to claim that the 1984-1985 NBC episodes of that show were coming to GSN. And everybody, including me, fell for it. She is also creepy and obsessed as all hell. Lesson learned: Take anything she says with a bajillion grains of salt. They're normally priced at a bajillion, but today, they're yours for only $5 on Sale of the Century.

Is it really possible Match Game will be on in the 8am hour on the weekends and not on anymore during the weekdays? Could this be a move to boost ratings a bit on weekends, considering Match Game is still a popular old show on GSN. During holidays, Match Game among other classics get decent ratings considering how old they are. Without promotion, I think it would take awhile for people to "catch on" to Match Game being on weekends. Your regular, typical Match Game fans won't tune in without some sort of notice, you never know if there are people who don't scan the guide hoping the changes like this. Especially on the west coast where its in the 5am hour and people don't have Match Game in their "series manager" on their DVR, if you will. My point basically is, if there is little promotion like there usually is, some if not most people won't tune in because they expect infomercials. Almost the same scenario back in 2010 when they started their programming lineup at 8am, there was little to no promotion then. Match Game has always been a good show to start the day. GSN.com's schedule is weird to me compared to GSNTV.com's schedule they have, for some reason I find it's more accurate. Plus, Match Game isn't even listed on my DirecTV guide, at least yet. Yeah the conspiracy theories are coming.

If I recall, it was around that time in 2009 that an extra hour of classics was added to the schedule. It might be possible they might be taking it back soon. We'll know for sure on Saturday morning. Or it could be possible that GSN might be phasing Match Game off the schedule by airing it on Saturdays only, and that could be a sign that a classics schedule change might be coming at some point in the coming weeks or months, and it might be the end of Match Game on GSN as we know it.

It was December 2010, maybe towards the end of the month they added it. I'm pretty sure it wasn't in 2009. Here is the proof, just to be precise. Why would GSN *want* to phase out the old classics? Especially Match Game, a show that does decent for the 8am hour last I saw. Let's not speculate, let's wait and see.

... and it might be the end of Match Game on GSN as we know it. Just... Stop. You're speculating on things that I don't know should be healthy.

Seems unlikely that they'd get rid of Match Game but keep the other retro shows. Last I knew, it was still a strong lead-in to the rest of their morning lineup. If they were really going to eliminate that 8 AM hour, they'd probably push MG to 9 AM, and eliminate two of their other morning shows. In any case, this looks like an error to me.

Here is the 21-27 December schedule, courtesy of GSNN. All the Match Game speculation is, indeed, much ado about nothing - it remains on 8am ET weekdays. Of note, Hellevator appears to be done for - gone from the schedule completely. Also looks like maybe the fourth Harvey Feud season popping up?

As i expected, Christmas 1986 of Eubanks' Card Sharks all week, and the usual morning lineup on Christmas Day.
However, on the 25th, a marathon of Family Feud starts at 12 noon. And it's good to hear that Match Game is retaining staying power, even though I am not a fan of it.

I did learn that the blogger on GameShowNetworkNews is not online until December 17 due to personal reasons, so that may explain why there is no PDF schedule for December 21 to 25 posted as yet. I would assume that these two things will most likely happen: - Bob Eubanks' Card Sharks will likely be Christmas Week 1986 from December 21 to 25. - Morning classics as usual on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. CardSharksFan8689: I am sorry I had to be away, and actually got back a night early. Here is the December 21-27 advanced schedule, if you have not seen it yet: files.acrobat.com/a/preview/8071ed74-008e-49ac-92ba-5988e8da0314There is a Steve Harvey Family Feud marathon Christmas Day 1pm-8pm ET. Mandoli: Sorry about that too, but Casey did not post the advanced schedule this week. He just did not get it. When I finally got home Wednesday night and opened my email, GSN sent the 12/21-12/27 schedule out on Monday 12/14. No worries: I will post the December 28-January 3 within minutes of when I get it. Just a reminder: New Mike Catherwood-hosted Chain Reaction tonight on GSN tonight at 8pm and 8:30pm ET.

The 2013-14 season of Family Feud (Harvey's fourth) has been on the schedule since September (2015). It has been limited to the 11pm hour weeknights but I saw the 2013-14 season on last night at 10pm and 10:30pm.
