I take back my runtime claim.
And, to be fair, Fremantle also doesn't give a hoot about YouTube content. Plus, Press Your Luck lost me as a viewer since the Summer 1984-February 1985 episodes were re-acquired. I seem to appreciate Eubanks' Card Sharks more.

Didn't a couple people get some 1984-85 LMAD episodes removed on Youtube in the fairly recent past?

Didn't a couple people get some 1984-85 LMAD episodes removed on Youtube in the fairly recent past? It was BroadBand TV thar took care of them. They also did the same with TPIR and Family Feud at some point. They seem to only target these series because they are currently in first-run production. Press Your Luck and Card Sharks are not affected.

What's odd for LMAD is they only seem to think a target the 1980's episodes, not the 1970's episodes.

According to the GSN online schedule, Whammy! is off the schedule as of Monday. Replacing it, The $25,000 Pyramid which will now air for a full hour. And GSN's Pyramid gets replaced with another episode of Catch-21. EDIT: And here's the kick to the groin (I just noticed), Press Your Luck is gone, replacing it, More Eubanks Card Sharks (would it kill them to air a Jim Perry episode?) Honestly, GSN is a train wreck anymore. To drop Press Your Luck off the schedule and replace it with 1986 Card Sharks is crazy. I mean if GSN really wanted to air Card Sharks they should be doing the original (Jim Perry, NBC version). I guess it would kill them to actually run the original Card Sharks. GSN really does not offer much anymore. Makes me even more happy I stopped watching after they cut Card Sharks back last year. Also, why in the world does Match Game need 4 spots? Just saying there are other game shows in town and Match Game ain't the only classic that was ever loved.

GSN aired the last two episodes of the Bosson/Gordon week today. The first episode of the next week, Kelsey/Hurst, was skipped last time the cycle went through. Will it be skipped again tomorrow? Most likely.

Also, why in the world does Match Game need 4 spots? Just saying there are other game shows in town and Match Game ain't the only classic that was ever loved. Match Game isn't exactly a ratings machine, but last I saw it actually does pretty decent and, even today, it's still one of the more popular classic game shows to date. That and Family Feud, thus the reason both of those shows are aired so heavily on Buzzr. And that of Harvey on GSN, although GSN is trying to acquire other shows to try to balance it out. GSN knows Match Game has been a proven ratings performer in the daytime it's done decent anyways, which is why they gave it additional timeslots. GSN hasn't taken it off yet, so it must be doing okay, I haven't seen the ratings. At least GSN is acknowledging that Match Game is still a fairly popular show for a classic. Another possible reason, and this is speculation on my part entirely, but GSN could've also given Match Game those 1pm time slots is so people who are fans of the new Match Game on ABC that haven't seen the original Match Game could get a chance to see it at a reasonable time slot. Granted, a lot of people work during the day though, but there is always DVRs and whatnot. I think that speculation is probably dead wrong and not even worth a discussion, really. People have also speculated though that GSN added Match Game to the 1pm slot to kind of compete with Buzzr, but not entirely of course. To kind of "keep up" with Buzzr. But it could be GSN just didn't want to put more Feud or wanted to give a time slot to another classic and they chose Match Game because its still popular among some game show fans still. I remember when Dick Clark's Pyramid did well for GSN for its timeslot, I don't know if that's true now, and of course Card Sharks did too, which is why all those shows are still on GSN. Match Game I thought was a better choice though. Maybe to you Match Game wasn't the only classic ever loved, and I agree, but it is still a popular game show today considerably. It doesn't get monster ratings, but people still watch the show and again, its still a popular game show and that's saying something in today's generation of game shows, I think. This is 2017 after all.

About GSN showing Eubanks and Card Sharks: Was this something that the network wanted to air, but found no space for it? And were they trying to give other shows a break?
Be glad that they didn't place something stupid in that slot.

Be glad that they didn't place something stupid in that slot. GSN has been running Eubanks Card Sharks for a while now much to my displeasure. I still can't wrap my mind around them dropping the Original Card Sharks off the schedule. If it wasn't for our version being so successful than the 1986 would have never been thought of by CBS to revamp. I just feel GSN is completely slighting the CS franchise by doing that right now. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'd say run BOTH versions. That way the 1986 Card Sharks fans are taken care of but then show some respect to the Original and air it afterwards. Now as I say this, GSN in the PAST has been good to the original Card Sharks. I believe all episodes have aired at one point or another. So while GSN sucks now they were good at a time. I can't fail to recognize that. A new lease with 1981 episodes would be cool I don't understand why GSN felt the need to change their morning lineup at all from last year. It was perfect. 2 Match Games, Eubanks Card Sharks, Press Your Luck, the Original Jim Perry Card Sharks, and then round out with $25,000 Pyramid. It was a great lineup that allowed BOTH versions of Card Sharks to air.

And with David Goldhill stepping down, I am almost afraid of what his successor plans to do with its morning lineup after the current classics leases expire. I certainly don't want to see GSN become what GameTV in Canada is now.
Then again, the so-called claim of GSN considering a network rebranding, if it becomes real, may have to do with the post-Goldhill era. I will believe it when I see it.

At this rate, it's really hard to say what's going to happen with the older shows after Goldhill goes.

Not sure if this post belongs here or in the Family Feud thread, so feel free to move this to its rightful place.
What is up with these weekly gimmicks like "Steve Harvey Speechless Week" and "Epic Fail Week"? What's the point? Family Feud is on GSN a lot, so why come up with these titles? It seems so pointless to me.

With GSN's recent acquisition of The $25,000 Pyramid, I discovered a pattern with some acquired shows in recent years. Not just classics, but also recent seasons of Wheel of Fortune and Shop Til You Drop. As we know, there have been heavy doses of broadcasts of certain shows, and many of those leases lasted one year max. Could it be possible that one-year leases of any series (except for Harvey's Feud) is the norms now, possibly because the cost to lease the episodes is quite expensive now, possibly due to the target audience of retired and elderly persons shrinking, or inflation?
