How many Three-week Winner's Board champions on the Syndicated edition? It might give us a clue as to how many weeks season 2 had. I know of the following:
Alan Cevednik (Failed to clear all the prizes and $50,000)
Sandi (? ? ?)
Lisa Munoz (Clared all the prizes and $50,000)
Jerry (? ? ?)
Curtis Warren (Cleared all the prizes and $50,000)
Cindy (? ? ?) (Failed to clear all the prizes and $50,000)
Chuck Donegan said he only recalls two contestants clearing the Winner's Board on the Syndicated show.

The edition of the syndicated version of "Sale of the Century" the Game Show Network had in their programming today had music from the TV serial "Dark Shadows" during one of its Instant Bargain skits. What song was it from "Dark Shadows"?

Keep in mind [Vahan] posted this on other forums too....I believe he's obsessed! Part of me knows he's just curious to see if anything can be pinned down and straightened out about the 1986 nighttime shows (I asked a kinda-similar question about the Speed Round clocks at another forum), since as far as I can tell they're ordered arbitrarily by traders. ...But yeah, there's a point where it goes from being a good question to being...well, not. If GSN stops before airing any of the circulating '86 shows, then yeah it's a good thing to bring up, but otherwise...not right now, no. The edition of the syndicated version of "Sale of the Century" the Game Show Network had in their programming today had music from the TV serial "Dark Shadows" during one of its Instant Bargain skits. What song was it from "Dark Shadows"? I didn't hear anything that sounded like Dark Shadows music on the episode they aired that day -- which Instant Bargain was it?

It's just that there is very little circulating on the Winner's Board era of the Syndicated edition. Can you really blame me for wanting to nail down everything? And matchthestars is incorrect. I only posted this on the GSF and on Benfield's Talk page. I have since deleted it from the latter, and will speak no more of this subject from this point. If GSN's current lease gets to the end of the Syndicated edition, cool. If not, no big deal. Either way, they'll get to the end in good time.

Let's not try to get into a fight. Keep the stuff down to a minimum, 'kay?

I don't think there's any fighting going on here, Mandoli, although I guess I can see why you'd think that. It's just that there is very little circulating on the Winner's Board era of the Syndicated edition. Can you really blame me for wanting to nail down everything? I don't blame you for wanting to know stuff, and personally I don't know the answers myself. I don't think we'll ever be able to nail down everything, though, unless GSN airs the rest of the series and the three early shows they skipped. That said, I do think you're a bit overenthusiastic about wanting to know and overreacted to Aaron Sica in that GSF topic. And matchthestars is incorrect. I only posted this on the GSF and on Benfield's Talk page. I have since deleted it from the latter, and will speak no more of this subject from this point. I never said it was a bad question or one that shouldn't have been asked, Vahan -- merely that a question stops being a good one if the person asking it reacts badly to one small comment. Note that aside from Bryce Lozier I didn't really get an answer for whether any of the circulating '86 nighttime shows had the second or third Speed Round clock, and that was mostly because the discussion turned to one of clock technology. I was a bit miffed at first, but it was a good discussion and so I really have no issue (not that I have any issue to take up anyway, but you hopefully get my point). Your topic, on the other hand, started out with a good question (as you and Brandon Foster-Gray noted, one that would've gotten lost in the shuffle of the above discussion) but dovetailed because...well, yeah... If GSN's current lease gets to the end of the Syndicated edition, cool. If not, no big deal. Either way, they'll get to the end in good time. To end this on a positive note, I think the fact we can't say for sure one way or the other is the best part -- it just keeps going.

I don't think there's any fighting going on here, Mandoli. Cool. Just as long as we're on the same page, we're all fine.

I have every episode of Sale of the Century USA aired on videotape. Unfortunately, I am not on the trading circuit because I have not had time in the last 20 years to trade, nor have I had another device to connect to my VCR. To answer your question, three people cleared the Winner's Board. In addition to the two you mentioned, Sandi McCreary did clear the board, but missed out on the $50,000 when she spent $16 on a trip to Miami. She lost by $21. By my count of shows in my collection, the second season of syndicated Sale of the Century had 34 weeks.

Daniel, I am still doing that SOTC episode guide that was started by another poster, on GSF. I will post what I've got so far, after GSN gets done with this current lease.

I have every episode of Sale of the Century USA aired on videotape. Wow, cool! Do you happen to have a list of the syndicated episodes you taped? If so, let me know -- I've been putting together an episode guide for said run, and any info you could share would really help. Regardless, welcome! Unfortunately, I am not on the trading circuit because I have not had time in the last 20 years to trade, nor have I had another device to connect to my VCR. If you want, I can get you in touch with some people who can transfer them to a digital format for free. By my count of shows in my collection, the second season of syndicated Sale of the Century had 34 weeks. I once read that the syndicated version had a total of 260 episodes (100/160), but I'll gladly defer to someone who's got it all on tape.

To recap, there were three Syndicated episodes skipped by GSN, and it is unclear if USA Network ever showed them:

Didn't Mark DeCarlo clear the board or did he just stop after winning the $50K?

I think he just cleared the board (the "all ten prizes + $50,000" plateau came as an option after clearing the board), and even then that was on the daytime Sale.
