Weird thing is, the only station I can think of the carried it from Day 1 (January 7, 1985) is WXYX in Detroit. Supposedly, WABC in New York carried the syndie from the beginning as well, which with WXYZ might suggest it was picked up by the major ABC O&Os. I can't verify this, however. Trying to remember what station in Connecticut carried it... WTNH, I think. But that didn't start until September of '85; they weren't on-board at the start.

I'm SO excited. I just got a bunch of syndie Sale episodes yesterday and I'm starting to watch now. They are all from the shopping era. It'll probably be a while before I get to see more of the winner's board (I had seen a couple episodes of that prior). I'm hoping that since Sale is a Fremantle property that it'll air on Buzzr.

My favorite instant bargain was a child's desk where the model was dressed as a giant pink eraser. He was writing, reacted to a mistake, then started to rub himself on the paper.
Sorry, can't seem to find a vid of that one...

This lady on a May 1985 episode I just watched encouraged other players into taking instant bargains in order to keep their scores a bit lower, picked a $15 money card, and STILL managed to end up being in third place when it's all set and done. LOL. Just LOL. Like, this girl tried it.

And of course, my DVR "forgot" to record it this morning. Can anyone put it on Youtube?

I never realized Sale of the Century was going off. I will never know if that pretty young black girl clears the board. I wish I could remember her name. She was doing so well.
