It has to be Monica that Jim from the July 21, 1988 episode went up against in Day 3 of the ToC and we found out that the Lovers Week episode upload on Paul Burgos' channel (Diane & Curtis vs. Sal & Alice) aired on February 17, 1989. Agreed about Monica. She actually won three cars. The bonus round that qualified her for the TOC has to be the first car round from episode 141, which was her second car win, and aired on December 4, 1987. On that episode she had the base time, but only needed 30 seconds to win the car. She was the first contestant to win a car with the base time as the starting time.

Huey Lewis' Hip to be Square was used the in the opening of today's 1PM CC SUmmer Fun week episode and the Surfaris' original version of WIpeout was used in the 1:30PM EST CC opening. Maybe music clearances aren't the reason some special weeks have not aired.

The cover of The Champs' Tequila could bode well for the Cinco de Mayo/3rd Year Anniversary episode. Not to mention there was one more Summer Fun Week for May 21-25, 1990.
Also, did anyone hear a little bit of Michael Jackson's Another Part of Me in the Judy Vs. Greg episode? Methinks it could also bode well for Janet Jackson's Miss You Much in Summer 1990.

Santana's Black Magic Woman(Fleetwood Mac cover) was heard in the Summer 1989 Woodstock episode, also.

Terri who was on the 10/21/1988 episode came back on the 6/6/1989 episode airing at 1:30PM EST on 5/11/2021 episode due to an error on the show's part.

A rarity: the last two numbers left on the fully revealed board in the first rebus round on today's 1PM CC episode were two Wild Cards. Today it happened on episode 493, and it also happened in Game 1 of episode 434. Three rare events happened on episode 486 (air date 4/11/1989):
- In Game 1, the board was down to four squares, which means two "prizes", but in this case the only "prizes" left were both the Red and Green Takes;
-After Game 1, Alex failed to invite Gene Wood to describe the winning contestant's prizes, even though the $ amount of the prizes turned out to be $5,565 (which is possible to calculate based on additional information give about that contestant's later prize winnings).
-During the bonus round, the contestant failed to match any cars. This was at the least the 16th time this happened out of 795 bonus rounds played on the show at that time, a rate of about 2%, and by far the lowest frequency outcome out of the 8 possible outcomes (i.e., 0-7 matches).

Just a quick comment about a change have noticed coming up more and more often in the latest batch of episodes I have been watching. (For the record, I just finished episode 487.)
Typically, when a contestant solves a puzzle, a "ding-ding-ding..." sound is heard, the remaining squares open to reveal the puzzle, and the entire puzzle is briefly visible for a moment or two before there is a cut to a shot of the winning contestant.
Sometime prior to episode 487, the cut to the winning contestant is now starting to come before all the squares are opened and before the full puzzle is revealed. Not a big deal, but it was glaringly obvious in episode 487 when, after the contestant completed an unusually early solve in game 1, the cut to the winning contestant came before ANY additional squares were opened.

A contestant winning a game without any prizes should have been given $100 a la High Rollers 1987, even if it was in the form of a Service Merchandise gift certificate.

Slowly working my way through the remaining Classic Concentration on my DVR, and I have some observations.
I have noticed that after GW explains the opening rebus, and as the camera starts on the first car on the lowest platform Alex can be seen "hiding" behind the car. I just noticed this on Episode 500, and have on other previous episodes as well.
Regarding the repeating pattern of opening rebuses, there have been changes in the pattern.
When the opening rebus began as a repeat in episode 220, all of the subsequent opening rebuses known to be repeats were opening rebuses from episodes 50 and higher (with the only exception being that the rebus from #29 was repeated on 225 and 353). Beginning with episode 473, this changed. For episodes 473-489 (and possibly 490) the opening rebus was a repeat of a rebus that appeared as an opening rebus in episode 49 or earlier.
Beginning with episode 491 (and possibly 490), the opening rebus was a repeat of a rebus used in actual game play. For example, the opening rebus for episode 500 had previously been used for Game 1 of episode 125.

Catch Doug Miller's four games of Jeopardy from the 1984-85 season before Sony does at www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-HvZsagqZoDoug said on a Jeopardy Facebook private page his games taped on 1/8/85 and aired 4/25-4/28/85, but with 4/27 and 4/28 a weekend, it's more likely 4/22-4/25 Should go in the YouTube finds thread.

I just finished watching CC episode 459 (last ep. of College Week), and there are MAJOR mistakes in Game 2; prizes were placed on the wrong contestant's board and never corrected.
Frankly, it seems extremely unlikely to have even happened and then made it to air. When I was initially tracking the game, I noticed that my prize boards did not match the program, and figured I was the one who had made an error. But after multiple re-watchings, I am certain that I am correct, and that this games has errors.
The game in question featured Thom vs. Brett, with Thom going first. In his first turn, Thom earned the featured prize (an arcade game) and the Green Take (both via Wild Cards), before missing in his third selection. Brett missed, Thom missed again, and then Brett matched a VCR on his second turn. The prize boards SHOULD have one prize each, and Thom still has the Green Take.
At this point, the mistake was made, as the VCR was placed on Thom's board in error. This was not immediately apparent, as there were no cuts away from the Game Board to the contestants and their prize boards, as Brett missed, and then Thom matched a Ski Vacation on his next turn.
The first clear indication of the mistake is when Alex says "He doesn't have anything, you've still got the Take as security, let's open these two doors..." even though Thom should have had the opportunity to take Brett's VCR with the Green Take. Why does Alex say this? Although not shown, Alex clearly looked back at Brett's prize board and does not see anything for Thom to take.
Also at this point, ANOTHER mistake was made, as the Ski Vacation that Thom matched is placed incorrectly on Brett's side.
The camera remains on the game board as Thom misses, and Brett matches the Rolltop Desk. The next indication of the two errors is when Alex says to Brett, "...you have a prize to go with the Colorado Ski Trip...", which means that Alex looked at Brett's prize board and saw the Ski Vacation on it.
Finally, after Brett does not guess, there is cut to a wide shot of the contestants, and the prize errors are clearly visible as the bell for an interrupted game sounds. This cut is the first cut away from the game board in almost two minutes, and encompasses Brett's entire game play, consisting of four selections over three turns resulting in two matches. Including Thom's selections, the Game Board was on camera uninterrupted for seven total selections.
To be clear, I have no idea if the lack of cuts away from the game board is common or not. However, it is notable in this instance because it obscured the errors on the prize boards.

I just watched episode 426, and during the Bonus Round, BUZZR obscured the contents of square 14 with a "More Classic Concentration NEXT" Banner. The square was only called once, and, based on the other squares, it was populated with either "CRX" or "PIONEER". The problem is that on the BUZZR airing, it's impossible to tell which. Are there any clean copies of this Bonus Round available? Well this "mystery" is finally solved. Square 14 in the bonus round was populated with "CRX" , and was visible in today's CC rerun at 1 PM.
In today's airing, the "NEXT More Classic Concentration " Banner appeared about 10-12 seconds earlier during the episode, as the Bonus round was starting. The banner is new, as it stylized with with New BUZZR logo, but likely would not obscure box 14 even if the timing of the banner were the same as the fresh debut of this episode.

With the latest schedule updates for Classic Concentration, here's what I'd like to address: Buzzr is skipping the second Love Week, which aired July 10-14, 1989. What is it with them skipping love weeks? Hopefully, they are planning something. We should be getting closer to the episodes posted by the contestant's son. Unfortunately, they're not on YouTube anymore. On one of them, it was Marc Breslow's birthday; he was the solution to the opening rebus. There was also an Oldsmobile Delta '88 offered. Last, but not least, July 1989 produced the biggest car win ever, according to Joseph's notes. Someone won a Mazda 929 worth $24,242.
