I turned on the TV before work this morning to see 5.1 still on and I was made aware that someone associated with Buzzr tweeted the legit launch for today isn't until 8 PM.

I checked this morning before I left for work. Nothing. The channel itself isn't even working yet at all.

Well, the rarity of the Let's Make a Deal pilot isn't all that rare. GSN ran the pilot once - I remember the long disclaimer that GSN ran before the pilot about possibly prearranged elements, wonder if Buzzr will do something similar - and Chad Mosher uploaded it to YouTube. Game Show Pilot Light has some more details on the pilot. Kind of weird to see the show without the crazy costumes...

I'm really missing the days of plug a coax in the back of a vcr or dvd recorder and being able to record.

From what I heard this is what the show was like for a brief period of time before budding contestants realized Monty was more likely to pick you if you were wearing something outlandish. Very interesting!!

I'm really missing the days of plug a coax in the back of a vcr or dvd recorder and being able to record. It is possible to hook up a recording device to a converter box. This is what I used to do before I got my TiVo. You will need a couple sets of yellow/white/red cables, one to hook up your converter box to the VCR or DVD recorder, and another to hook up the recording device to the TV.

I know. I have a dvd recorder hooked to my dvr. However I have no way of recording from my antenna which is why I said coax.

Luckily, my Dish DVR allows for an antenna hookup, which puts the locals in the guide and makes them searchable for recording. Unluckily, I won't be getting BUZZR.

At the least, you can take your antenna and hook it up from your converter box to a VCR, then to your TV so you can record to something. If your DVD player has a coax in and out, you could do the same. Another option is a TV Tuner card to save DTV recordings to your computer's internal or an external hard drive.

Looks like there is a digital recorder I have to buy the memory for. Total it looks like it'd cost $80 or so from Amazon. May buy that.
I could so see me watching this channel an awful lot.
