I'm leaning towards the week leading up to the tapings of Michael Larson's Press Your Luck episodes. That's what I think, too.

And once again, PYL rewinding the clock.

I see that Body Language, PYL, Card Sharks, Child's Play, and Super Password went back a few weeks.
This doesn't make any sense. They legit ran a promo talking about all new episodes just last week and they start rewinding some shows again? They should get this together.

I complained about GSN's rerun abuse in the past, but that ain't got nothing on this.

I agree with Vahan. GSN's rerun abuse is nothing compared to Buzzr's rerun abuse. At least GSN leases more episodes at a time than Buzzr does. Plus GSN picked up 130 episodes of Press Your Luck - six months worth - which is way better than Buzzr only adding four to six weeks worth at a time. I have to admit, GSN is ten times better than Buzzr at this time.
I would not be surprised if Buzzr picks up fresh content late in October when we might get to see some Halloween-themed episodes of game shows around that time. I have a good feeling we'll be seeing the Halloween 1984 episode of Press Your Luck on Buzzr later in October. It wil, be good to see Peter Tomarken's Frankenstein dance during the closing credits and the cheesy message again, snice GSN cut it off in its last two broadcasts.

I was waiting for you to bring this up. I'll be surprised if Buzzr doesn't air that to celebrate Halloween this year. Even when GSN was still showing the end credits, they squeezed a good chunk of it, as you can clearly see in the clip below. God, I hate credit crunchers! www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KeF5cSApss

According to buzzrplay.com, BUZZR is replacing Heroes & Icons in the Valley City-Fargo ND market on KRDK-TV, channel 4.1. Should this be the case, KRDK would be BUZZR's first full-power primary affiliate. If KRDK claims "must-carry" rights in the market, then BUZZR would get full distribution in that market. In other words, every pay-TV provider serving the Valley City-Fargo television market will carry their BUZZR affiliate, ergo, the network.

According to the usually reliable RabbitEars.info site, channel 4.1 for KRDK-TV is Cozi. The site says that KRDK-TV carries Buzzr on channel 4.10, one of its many digital subchannels. Heroes & Icons is on 4.9 and doesn't seem to be getting replaced by anything. It's hard for me to imagine that KRDK-TV would replace a (relatively) high-rated general-interest channel like Cozi on 4.1 with a little-known, virtually unwatched niche channel like Buzzr. Media Life Magazine says that Cozi is averaging 140K prime time viewers nationwide so far this season. That's hardly a massive audience, but it's certainly much bigger than Buzzr's viewership. If Buzzr really is on KRDK-TV's 4.10, it's not subject to must-carry on local cable systems. See this link for a long explanation of how local cable networks must only carry one channel from an over-the-air broadcast station. The cable systems may carry additional subchannels but they're not required to do so. That's why my cable provider in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Time Warner, doesn't carry Buzzr, which is subchannel 27.3 on local broadcast station KDFI-TV. Time Warner does carry 27.1 MyNetwork TV (KDFI-TV's main channel) and 27.2 Movies.

Oh, I know how this all works. Their website says 4.1, turns out it's 4.10. Must carry only applies for a station's primary signal, if they opt to take it and decide not to charge retransmission fees. No must-carry for their BUZZR sub-channel. But, if there is some good news, KRDK-TV is their second full-power station outside of the FOX O&Os. Cable coverage for sub-channels on low power stations is minuscule, if not nonexistent. Getting cable coverage from full-powers is easy because most cable companies already carry the primary signal, whether they have to, or pay the retransmission fee. It doesn't mean that they are guaranteed more coverage, it just gives them a better chance at getting picked up around the market.

There's a contest at Buzzr.com where you can vote for the shows you want to see on Sunday's lineup. The choices are Beat the Clock (1979), Trivia Trap, Double Dare (1976), Wordplay, Now You See It (1974), and Sale of the Century (1985 syndicated). www.buzzrplay.com/contest

Wonder if Wordplay was wiped by the production company, and only a portion of it exists?

I hope Sale of the Century is one of the shows that wins. I missed out a lot of that on GSN. I'd also hope Wordplay would be one for the sake of its rarity and the notoriety of it being the final game show hosted by Tom Kennedy. Though any of the others would also be welcome. The more shows on Buzzr the better.

I still don't have this channel, but it's really good that Buzzr is letting viewers decide part of their lineup. Now if only GSN would do something like this.

Does anyone have any record of what Buzzr has been showing on Saturday nights during the "Time Machine" block recently? Zap2It just lists the same combo of "Blockbusters/Family Feud/Blockbusters/Super Password/Super Password/Family Feud" week-to-week. I believe 10/3 was an evening of WML, but I am not sure.
The Buzzr website does not list anything for this block on their schedule, and the other listings providers simply label it as "Time Machine." TV Guide even gives a one line description as if it were the Grundy version of "Time Machine" from 1985. Wishful thinking!

If $ale of the Century is among the voting choices for this new Sunday night block, I think it is safe to say that GSN is likely no longer interested in $ale anymore.
