This source has the new Buzzr schedule beginning on August 29: buzzrplay.com/schedule/schedule_by_date/2016/8/29/America/New_YorkIt appears that Buzzr will be airing, among fresh content: - A continuation further into 1981 with Blockbusters
- A continuation into February 1984 with Press Your Luck (on the way to the earliest episodes in GSN's original lease from 2001)
- More 1985 Let's Make a Deal
- Dawson's Family Feud from the final months of his original run (1985) - not sure if it's syndicated or ABC runs, but I would rather the ABC run
- Maybe fresh episodes of Match Game '73?
[/ul] I also saw in the image promoting the new schedule, Card Sharks from 1978 may be fresh episodes too, but the Eubanks' run will be gone. Also exiting on August 29th are Child's Play, Body Language and Super Password. Oh, well, maybe this is hinting that Super Password might be returning to GSN in the foreseeable future.

Dawson's Family Feud from the final months of his original run (1985) - not sure if it's syndicated or ABC runs, but I would rather the ABC run I think that's the Hollywood Walk of Fame week of the syndicated run, which Buzzr has aired before. Honestly, I don't see the appeal in the 1985 shows, mainly due to the extended format ($400 goal with a fourth Single question, resulting in stuff like this screencap where the scores were $371-$346 after at least Round 6). To me, the show just feels lethargic and tired by that point, kinda like they're just going through the motions. Heck, not even that Hollywood Walk of Fame week is all that great when you consider that Mark Goodson (who played that week) couldn't stand Richard's primadonna behavior on the set and had fired him a few years earlier...only for ABC to sign Dawson to a network contract and put him back on the show.

Dammit, still need the first episode of Super Password from week 21 with Shelley Smith and Dick Gautier. Looks like I'll be waiting a while, if ever.
Anyway, looks like I'll be ramping up my recording schedule come the end of August.

It gets worse. Today the Station ID was overlayed just after Gene Rayburn was announced at the opening of one of the Match Game episodes. It cut back in just as he was greeting the guest celebs.

They probably have it programmed to come on at the top of the hour at the same exact time no matter what, even if Buzzr proper doesn't start or finish a show right at the :00 mark. The MeTV affiliate does that here in Atlanta (there's an ID that comes on that shows the time and temperature), but it's actually done properly.
They're better off doing what my and from what I've seen on YouTube another affiliate does, just having the station name with the Buzzr logo on the bottom of the screen for a few seconds at the top of every hour.

In NYC it's really simple and unintrusive. Just a small "WWOR-TV Secaucus, New Jersey" at the bottom of the screen.

You know, I really don't have a problem with Buzzr's upcoming schedule. I've heard of people comparing Buzzr to GSN because of the way they'll be airing MG and FF even though MG is on twice a day. I say, at least it's not Harvey Feud. Dawson was a classic, a timeless classic, in my opinion. So was Match Game too.
It is possible Buzzr was looking at numbers of statistics and decided to stick with the most popular shows. There's still some variety, aside from Match Game and Family Feud.
I can't complain. Classic MG and FF are my favorites.

I'm hoping we get more of an upgrade with the next schedule change. Obviously, they get a lot of points for giving us fresh episodes. But I'm getting a bit tired of Feud as a whole tbh.

I don't see a problem with the new schedule. More MG (73 and 78), Blockbusters, PYL...I'll be busy recording for a while.

If Buzzr continues with the norms, expect fresh content until September 9th.
Even though I mentioned in the past I am not a fan of Dawson's run, it is true for the majority. But I do like the latter two years of Dawson's runs (ABC and syndicated), putting the negativity about the scoring format change aside. I enjoy game shows from 1983 until around 1994 because the video and audio quality are far better, and the sets on those shows are more visually appealing. But by the fall of 1994, my taste for newer episodes of game shows started to falter (by 1997, TPIR was all I cared for, until GSN sparked my interest in 2000).
Regarding The Price is Right, i prefer the modern-day episodes more.

What's wrong with the classic 70s Match Game sets?
