Just wished that Buzzr could be also getting from the GSN and Sony Library the Chuck Barris collection as well as other collections that are not Goodson and Toddman. As would love for them to get the Merv Griffin library or Barry-Enright Library. As has been noted before, these aren't likely -- BuzzrTV is a Fremantle network whereas GSN is a Sony one, so they're gonna be rivals (best parallel I can think of is "Goodson-Todman vs. Barry-Enright" from the 1970s-80s) and hence snagging shows from Sony's library is really unlikely. Still, it's not like Fremantle doesn't have much of anything to air -- the Goodson-Todman library with at least two exceptions ( Concentration is owned by NBC, who bought it from Barry-Enright; The Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour has dual ownership), Let's Make A Deal from Hatos-Hall, at least Sale of the Century and Scrabble from Reg Grundy (although the latter probably needs negotiations with Hasbro to clear), at least Press Your Luck from Bill Carruthers, and from what I've been told Truth or Consequences (originally a Ralph Edwards show). As you noted, the Barris, Griffin, and Barry/Barry-Enright/Stafford-Enright libraries are owned by Sony, with a few scattered exceptions (the B&E feature films come to mind); they also have at least some of the Bob Stewart shows and at least Hollywood Squares from Heatter-Quigley, so those aren't likely either. On the other hand, I don't think the Heatter (solo and non- Squares H-Q games), Jay Wolpert, or Ron Greenberg shows are held by either, so those might have a possibility. A really slim one, sure, but those still seem more likely than Sony giving Fremantle programming.

Yeah, with the Goodson-Todman shows and the other Fremantle properties, there are literally tens of thousands of episodes to air. I'll be happy just to see the mainstay classics like Card Sharks, Match Game, and the panel shows but I'm also really hoping that Sale comes to Buzzr. That's one of my biggest wants since I don't have GSN.

Better you do not have GSN, it is gone to the dogs. As really wonder if one day, we can see Barris shows out from Sony since GSN does not want to release Sony shows. And maybe one day, if it can happen to get out of GSN thumb as GSN has really it is nothing worthy at all.
Hope that Buzzr TV kicks GSN's butt! Big time!

As long as Verizon picks up the subchannel, I'll have access to it because our Fox is O&O. They've been known to not add them quickly. I'm looking forward to finally being able to watch Match Game from start to finish. That's my hope anyway. I also am lamenting Fremantle doesn't own Jokers Wild or Tic Tac Dough.
However,I don't believe with this being a sub channel GSN is going to worry too much. I also don't expect Fremantle to play hardball with their programing as it pertains to GSN. I've seen the shows on Me-TV, Antenna TV, and Bounce and many of them air on regular networks as well. I might be wrong. They may decide to purposely price their stuff so high GSN won't pay it with the intention of keeping it exclusive to this new channel. But I don't think so. If it were a new cable channel? Yes. Streaming service available to anyone who wants to buy it? Yeah maybe. But a digital sub channel not available in most places yet now and possibly ever? No.

One thing I think I should state re: availability and if your area won't yet be carrying Buzzr since talk about that has been abundant.
The other subchannels like MeTV, Antenna TV, Bounce TV, Retro TV, and the others usually state the following on their social media pages and their official websites on a regular basis: if you don't have one, more, or any of those channels but you want them, what you have to do is contact your local TV stations and express an interest in having the digital subchannel in question. Part of what motivates the spread of coverage for these channels is viewer demand.
Also there's a point of MeTV and Antenna TV taking a while to get to certain areas and they're still gaining new affiliates around the country as of this day. MeTV as of this point since going national in 2010 is now in 91% of the country and every once in a while Antenna TV will post their newest affiliate on Facebook. So these channels are still growing.
And there's the point of Buzzr being owned by Fox. There's the possibility of that not being an issue for some areas later on down the road. Atlanta just got Cozi TV, a channel run and owned by NBC Universal, and it just started airing here on a subchannel of the CBS affiliate. Also here, Antenna TV is owned by Tribune; and airs here on a Gannett owned station.

I think GSN considers any show that's not originally produced by them a classic.
What really gets to me is that there are even a fair number of shows from 1990 to the present that actually have had a good break in airing or haven't aired on GSN like Weakest Link, Millionaire, Supermarket Sweep, etc. that they could stand to be reacquired or acquired for the first time to help fill some of those blank spots by vacating Fremantle shows. Not trying to turn this into a wishlist thread, but Feud can't be the only other show they can put in some of these slots. I guess I'm surprised it isn't yet another Steve Harvey episode.
At any rate, GSN's losses in classics will probably just end up being Buzzr's gains. Just like for people who miss classics 24/7 on TVLand, there are at least 4 over the air channels that run them pretty much 24/7 minus the 3 hours of E/I requirements and an occasional infomercial in the middle of the night, and there's something for just about everyone.
Channel 5.3 in the ATL where Buzzr's about to launch here locally is calling my name. GSN, it's been real. I don't miss having cable at all anymore and even if I had basic cable, with little options and variety, The Chase is the only show that I'd be interested in on a regular basis and one show would not be enough for me to consider getting a bigger package just to see it. Not to mention, there's probably gonna be plenty of Feud on Buzzr as well.

The problem is, for those of us not in the FOX O&O markets, where do we have to go? YouTube? That's about it - and shows can be pulled from there any time by random copyright trolls.

I like YouTube, but I'm not the guy who sits there watching game shows, or any TV shows on there for that matter. I watch TV on TV, and maybe YouTube on TV, but I'm not a fan of watching shows on YouTube much.

I would download anything I saw worthy of keeping from YouTube, contact local affiliates if you're in an area not getting the channel yet and ask for them to consider picking it up (because that contributes into how these channels spread), and hope for the best. As I mentioned in the Buzzr thread, it takes time for new digital subchannels to grow, unfortunately, but they do eventually. For example, MeTV is now in over 90% of the country. But it didn't start that way. Also trading helps if someone's into that.

Local FOX channels don't have to pick them up though do they? I don't want to go off topic, but I'm wondering if I could contact say, my CW affiliate or something about BuzzrTV, because I don't know if my FOX station will pick it up.

So, who's going to be posting BuzzrTV airings on Youtube, or trading with me. I doubt I'll ever get Buzzr in my area. Someone needs to step up.

There's a handful of people who have said they're getting their DVRs ready so I imagine it'll be pretty easy to grab what you want. I'm one of those unlucky folks who don't have Buzzr TV yet but at the same time I have so much stuff I need to watch (including trade discs I received literally last year) that it's not too big of a worry to me. I have enough of a queue as it is!! But once stuff like syndicated What's My Line?/ I've Got a Secret/ To Tell the Truth get on that schedule...

It's not Fox network stations, it's Fox Owned and Operated stations the deal has been struck with thus far. That means if Newscorp owns your local Fox station it will be on their subchannel in your area. If, say Iheartmedia or whatever was Clearchannel at some point owns the Fox station, it would not be there unless they struck a deal to add it. This site has then current affilate list: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buzzr

I go to that link often. My Fox station is owned by Tribune. That's just great...
