I go to that link often. My Fox station is owned by Tribune. That's just great... Again, if Buzzr is successful, I don't think this'll matter in the end. Antenna TV is on here in Atlanta and the station here that airs it is owned by Gannett.

That's true. I'm just bummed that my Fox station isn't O&O.

That's true. I'm just bummed that my Fox station isn't O&O. I said the same thing when I first found out about Antenna TV. It first came on in January 2011 and I got all excited about their schedule and how they run their shows, then read it was owned by Tribune Broadcasting. And by that time, the only Tribune station here was already bought out, so I thought we'd probably never get it. But later on in the fall of 2011 we got it. The popularity with it grew and eventually a station here decided to pick it up. Hopefully the same thing will happen with Buzzr.

For the sake of those on the board without Fox O&O I hope you are correct. In fact, even for those of us who do I hope you are correct. If the channel is deemed unsuccessful they could always change the format of it.
This said, I think this channel in its starting form has a tough road ahead. You mention AntennaTV but it shows primatily well loved and remembered sitcoms people have seen on various other channels for years. Old game shows don't have that same appeal to that large of an audience.

Antenna ain't the only station showing classic shows, there's also MeTV, so that could split the audience, giving Buzzr a chance.

I live in the NYC area, so I'll have it on channel 9.3. I do hope markets that don't have Fox O&O's will sign up for the channel, though. Can't wait to see what Buzzr has in store for us!

Classics don't die, they live on these subchannels. Thank god for all the affiliates across the country now for Me-TV and Antenna TV, I think subchannels are great if you can get them. I'm sure there are some young people watching the classic shows, but they mostly skew old. That's the great thing about the subchannels is that they probably get good ratings thanks to the affiliations across the country, and the promos on the affiliate stations too.

No AntennaTV here, no CoziTV, just a Me/MyTV hybrid.
I'll never get to see Buzzr.

I see that our area has some "Escape" network where a 24-hour local weather channel used to be. It's CBS-owned.

Would that 24 hour weather channel be WeatherNation? I heard that is or was a sub channel, now it's on DirecTV, originally as a placeholder for the Weather Channel when DirecTV lost that channel for awhile.

Would that 24 hour weather channel be WeatherNation? No. It was our CBS affiliate's local weather station - just for the state of CT.
