T - 6 days and counting until The Beast appears on our airwaves for the first time. Also Brooke Burns returns to the studio, which has been cause for alarm among some...
Thoughts?
Show premieres next Tuesday at 9pm ET.

I am actually looking forward to this show. Even though I'm not a huge fan of British shows, or Brooke Burns for that matter, I think it will be a success. I mean it's already been renewed for season 2 (and season 1 hasn't even premiered yet.)

I'm really excited for this show. The Chase is a fabulous, fast-paced series and it looks like it's really going to get some justice here in the US. Couldn't be happier.

I have seen previews for The Chase many times while watching Catch 21 reruns in the morning on GSN and I think it will be great and bring GSN awesome ratings and it will be nice to see something different on GSN besides Catch 21 because that's the only GSN show I watch in the morning. So i'll give The Chase a try and see how awesome it is, We shall know next week, Kelsey

I'm definitely looking forward to this. Of course, Brooke Burns is no Bradley Walsh, but it's going to be awesome to see "The Beast" Mark Labbett come over from the UK version and be The Chaser for the show. And in fact, given all the distinctions and honors he has, he's probably the best pick out of all 4 of the Chasers. The show probably won't be as funny, have that big of payouts, or have the kind of connection the host, contestants, and Chaser had, but it will of course be a lot better having mostly U.S. related quiz questions to better interact with the show.

Is GSN gonna have a marathon of The Chase tomorrow? Because on my Direct TV channel listing for tomorrow it shows The Chase will be shown from 5PM to 7PM and again at 10:00 PM now are these the same The Chase episodes that will be shown tomorrow or will these be new The Chase episodes? I'm curious to know, Kelsey

There's two new episodes tonight at 8 and 9pm ET (I assume you're in Pacific Time). That airing at 1am ET is probably a repeat.

I saw The Chase for the first time today and I LOVED it and I think GSN did an awesome job bringing The Chase to America and I think The Chase is here to stay with the great gameplay. And Brooke Burns is so wonderful and cute as the host and her sunny personality really brings The Chase to life and I am especially happy to see girls be game show hosts so this show made me happy. On The Chase itself I thought the game was better than Jeopardy and kind of reminded of The Weakest Link and The Beast character is truly one of the most powerful heroes of The Chase and it's easy to see why GSN chose him as the costar of the show because he truly is smart. All and all I think The Chase will be a big hit for GSN and bring big ratings to the channel because I think it was really smart to bring a show from England to become a hit show in America, Kelsey

I still want to see a special Chase episode where the likes of Ken Jennings, Ogi Ogas and Brad Rutter square off against the Beast. The best of America against the best of Britain. They would clean house.

I really liked what I saw last night. This is a GSN show I can actually get behind. Two episodes in and it's looking really good. Well done GSN!

I saw the second episode of The Chase today and introduced my dad to it as well and my father was so impressed with The Chase that he told me he wants to audition to be a contestant on The Chase so he can play against The Beast. The second episode of The Chase was so fun and I found it amazing that all three contestants {Jonathan Heather and Corey} got to the Final Chase and won all the money and beat the first ever record on the American version of The Chase by winning a total of $180,000 and I found that a real surprise indeed, Kelsey P.S. When contestants compete in the Final Chase round of The Chase why do the contestants say the names of the other contestants before answering the questions? Because when I was watching the Final Chase today I noticed this. Does the contestant give the question to the player by saying his/her name sort of like selecting a player to answer the question?

Actually, they aren't saying their names, that's just the lock in device saying who buzzed in first. Watch closely and you'll see that when they're buzzing in, their lips aren't moving.

Same thing happens on the UK version, though there's a simultaneous buzzer.

I'm going to ask that you take your discussion to the GS of the Present thread, located here. So with that being said... Thread locked.
